Just in from CineEurope, Transformers 5 has been confirmed for 2016! Paramount was on hand promoting their summer movies, of which they predict Transformers: Age of Extinction will be the biggest of the season. The full report can be found on The Hollywood Reporter by click here.

For 2016, Ryan promised Paranormal Activity 5, a new take on Ben Hur directed by Timur Bekmambetov, the return of Eddie Murphy for Beverly Hills Cop, Transformers 5, GI Joe 3, Hansel and Gretel 2 and Star Trek 3.

I figured that's when it was coming out. And Bay will be on board, right? I mean, by now, who else would be?

And another Beverly Hills Cop? :D :D :D :D :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE:

TF:5 was a given. No doubt this movie will be huge.

Really looking forward to Beverly Hills Cop 4! and Star Trek 3!! But i'm wondering if JJ Abrams will be returning to direct. Last i heard he had said he wasn't going to come back because of all the flack people gave him (when i say people, i mean fans) about the last two films.

No ... considering Eddie Murphy has gone PG as of late, and given how terrible his movies have been as of late, I really can't get excited over this bit of news.

Robert Orci is already lined up to make his directorial debut for Star Trek 3.

It isn't any news, it was already said that AoE will be first movie of a new trilogy. It's only sad that we have to wait another 2 years. Why Transformers can't be relased like Lord of the Ring: In-one-movie-per-year-format?

I have bad filing that Bay will return again, and if he does, any chance for another good Transformers movie is wasted...

So what movie more perfect to get him back into the R-rated crowd than the R-rated film that made him a star? Yes, I know the 1st 48 Hrs. came out before, but this was the 1st film with him in the solo starring role, I believe.

Yes, this is unfortunate, but it looks like a done deal. I understand Abrams not doing it, being busy with Star Wars and all, but why Orci? He's creatively worthless. :-(

I would really hope that he does do that ... a PG BHC? ugh ...

Sadly both he and Kurtzman are two of the hottest properties in Hollywood apparently.

You seem to forget, Hollywood is more about recycling these days than original material.

And no one recycles better than those two.

Rumors I have heard

Star Trek 3 will be in Deep Space - To me this makes sense cause of the 5 Year Mission, said it would pay Tribute to Classic Star Trek Original Series.

Transformers 5 - Heard something about it being in SPACE, this could be a possibility giving the events of AOE, Optimus Tracking down the Creators, But this would be the 1st Transformers film not to be set on Earth & could also do away with Humans. If TF 5 is indeed in Space Only for now I need more info so for now I treat this as Rumors & Speculation.

On Beverly Hills Cop 4 I heard the movie may be in a Different Country maybe London or something but I have heard other rumors on BHC 4.

GI Joe 3 I have heard that somehow Duke maybe back don't see how since Duke Died, Then Heard Scarlett & The Baroness may also return. Maybe These characters coming back could be the plot device of GI Joe 3 being Nano Probes or DNA could bring them back or maybe Clones could also be a possible choice.

Cant wait to see these awesome movies in 2016.

The article said they would do what it took to keep him happy and motivated, so I'm sure they'll allow him to make his "small movie" in between the TF films. It takes about a year for a TF film to be made from beginning to end of production, so he will be pretty busy if he wants to squeeze another movie in between. Hopefully he doesn't get burned out and have the TF movie suffer because of it.
