Keep in mind, the movie is set during the time when Family Matters was at the height of its popularity.

Now I'm almost saddened that they didn't get Jaleel White to voice him.

As good as Arcee may look, she ain't good enough to make me go see this and endure Urkel-bot. Gonna save my money and wait for highlights to show up on Youtube.

I'm glad they didn't change the look of Wheeljack. I like it.

Plus it pisses off a lot of people and seeing their anger filled posts on the interwebs gives me movement in my nether regions.
Oh and in other news RotB has had it's release date pushed back 2 weeks in Australia more than likely to coincide with school holidays. Not that anyone cares

When the objective is one-sided human social commentary driven by a narrow-minded agenda instead of being faithful to the supposed source material, this is what you get.

I'm just glad we're finding all this out through the producers and director's loud mouths so it saves time and money to those of us who want to see an actual Transformers story.

I agree with the sentiment, but damn dude...TMI...

Naaaaah, why the movies are so human-centric is because animating these models is hard and expensive.

HA, they could go full G1 Sunbow cartoon for the visuals for all I care if we could have a movie about ALIEN robots doing ALIEN robots things, with talented writers. Instead of getting some "lets celebrate -insert race-" or "fart jokes extravaganza" because of budget reasons and mostly, because of hiring talentless quacks as writers.

We will see how that movie will turn out and if it will "forget itself" halfway-through like so many movies does. :-?

Fair enough. But then the story should still be about the Transformers themselves with humans as supporting characters instead of yet another alien invasion story.

To be fair, they were more sec jokes than fart jokes. And the other part hasn't been prevalent until RoTB, by the director's own admission.

If it does, I'm sure I'll hear it from someone who's dumb enough to go see it.

Funny enough I was hoping BB's look would be changed despite how infeasible that would ever be(e).
Not that I hate his look, I do enjoy the rest of his head design, just not a big fan of his speaker mouth.
I don't mind Wheeljack's look too much because it does still remind me of DotM's Wheeljack, a.k.a. Que.

And the movie was made in the 2020's, sometimes a bad design is a bad design and things should be left in their time period.

God forbid some of us just don't like the design for it being disgusting and once again going for a lazy, uncreative stereotype head design rather than it not being G1, at least DOTM Que was less generic looking even if it was just Einstein's head.

If your gonna replace Wheeljack's bad ass head design almost nobody else had in the franchise at least make it a suitably bad ass replacement, not generic head with terrible lips, they could of at least made the glasses be cooler because that concept is neat in a vacuum.

I'm all for toxic fans getting pissed for stupid reasons (like the Star Wars fanbase with anything new) but this ain't it.

Speaking of disgusting, sure do love to read about how your nether regions feel on a Transformers forum thanks man.

Honestly, I'm fine with Wheeljack's new look. I mean, the guy in DotM was named Que (even said by name) and the guy in Bumblebee wasn't even named on screen. So if this is Wheeljack, fine. It's not like Bumblebee looks like Bumblebee anymore anyway.

The way they're talking about the story the movie takes though doesn't make me feel good. I was hoping for something more with the feel of the Bumblebee movie rather than the Bay movies. Oh well. Still gonna buy the toys.

Also I made this and it makes me smile

So realistically, you'd just like the same old look rehashed again and again.

Do you need a refresher course on how different from their G1 looks Ironhide, Ratchet and Jazz were in the first movie? What about Starscream and Megatron? Remember how radically different those designs have been?

These movies have done A LOT of reinterpreting a characters design, but by all means, fixate on a face.

Uh oh, looks like someone needs to put on the dunce cap! /s

I'm sure in the end it'll still be dumb family fun* that we'll probably "S'alright huh?" and just have fun with the toys.
Maybe we could even channel our inner child and whine about it play with our toys and make up a totally awesome and better story.

*granted the kids are old enough to even see it.

Has the run-time been announced yet? I know there was a rumour floating around a couple of weeks ago about 3+ (possibly 4+) hours which to be honest, would put me off seeing it in the cinema as it would already be a 2 hour round trip for me to the nearest cinema.
Says the guy who flew for four hours to see the 2007 movie.

I mean you should know by now from all the years I've posted here that I'm not opposed to different designs, you don't see me going on about Scourge or Battletrap being different from their original counterparts right? Hell I'm a relatively big defender of the films we had up to AOE including a majority of their designs, I just don't have the patience for gross designs.

I ain't no damn Geewunner I just hate this stupid face much like how Daytrader's face in TLK was just as much of an abomination, I want these designs to be actually cool.

Bayverse Ironhide is cooler than G1 Ironhide in many regards, Bayverse Ratchet is just an alternative take on the medic character neither particularly better or worse, I don't like 2007 Megatron for being an incoherent mess with spindly arms not for being different than G1 Megatron, and as for Starscream I only wish he became more colorful in the sequels instead of getting tattoos not even the G1 colors necessarily either just something to make him not grey colored like so many Decepticons ended up being.

Love how you brought up Jazz by the way who's unironically one of the most faithful to his original counterpart.

Burn wrote:It's a face. Getting upset over it really is stupid.

And your gloating over being so proud about people being pissed isn't exactly not-stupid either not to mention your nether regions comment yet I bet you feel justified about posting it right?

Easy to say when it's your point of view against everyone else right? It's not like I'm saying my opinion is superior it just so happens to be my subjective opinion, why wouldn't I be allowed to be annoyed over Paramount insisting to not learn much from Bumblebee.

After reading their explanation... That is the stupidest thing I have read in a while. It sounds like they are kind of playing damage control as I read on another site that the test screenings were not received well.

So...
Same here, though I held off for 3 weeks on the Bee movie. But that will end with this film. Even though I had low hopes for TLK I still went to see it, and it was mediocre at best. The Bee movie I saw out of pure freak curiosity, and because I liked how the toys looked. But this film has shown me 0 intriguing aspects so far, from interviews with filmmakers to the toys. I was mildly interested in getting Scourge, but after a friend got it and I saw it in hand, I passed. So this film will be a no-go for me, but if you think it'll be worth your money and time, have fun. It is your money and time after all. ;)^

The Bee movie was quite enjoyable. It was a breath of fresh air after AoE and TlK. So I do have hope that this one will follow suit and deliver.
No matters what any Hollywood pundits claims, I'll keep my fingers crossed.
