Neat! Despite not being in the show, the Bat Primal and Megacroc two-pack were my first Beast Wars toys, so I have a lot of nostalgia for them.

A nod to the hardcore while the casual can still recognize Megs.
Sabrblade wrote:So, trying to please everyone by pleasing no one? They didn't do that with the Optimus Primal toy. No G1 Optimus Prime noggin or Autobot symbol on him. They just straight up made him faithful-looking.-Kanrabat- wrote:I think it's on purpose.

*shrug* They used the race car tooling of Blurr and several other onscreen RB/RBA characters (who didn't have the race car body in the shows) to make the MorBot toy.Flashwave wrote:I agree with the Trex Optimus needs to he redone for Beast Megs though. Maybe they are hesitant to use a Show model Autobot for a "bad guy" in the youngster toy line because of recognizability?

I'm not saying it's GOOD logic, but I can see them doing something like that."Well we don't want to confuse the young kids by giving them bad guy toys that looked like the good guys on the show but the other toys are fair game because they can use their imagination."
Blurr's whole thing in the show was his being a race car.Flashwave wrote:Sabrblade wrote:*shrug* They used the race car tooling of Blurr and several other onscreen RB/RBA characters (who didn't have the race car body in the shows) to make the MorBot toy.Flashwave wrote:I agree with the Trex Optimus needs to he redone for Beast Megs though. I wondered if the Morbot toys would be an exception, or something out of Academy. But did Blurr use the racecar body on the show?

Intersting, it's not a toy I ever found in stores, but it surely was released if it ended up in a thrift store. This line was never a big priority for coverage from any media site since there was very little interest from fans.
