That was surely the clearance price. Target is weird and often put things on clearance as they just come out. No way 22$US was Drac's normal price.

One thing is sure though. The price difference was humongous for the collaborative figures for a long time for some reasons between the USA and Canada.

At least for the recent ones like for Frank and even the JP set, the prices are about the same.
Right now, Frank is 35$US and that pretty much match the 48$CAN price, while the JP set is 10$CAN more instead of 40$CAN more compared to the first JP set.

Draculus was $32 in the US, but Target often does discounts, I'm guessing D-max used a $10 off $50 coupon or something similar with some other toys thrown in.

One more proof that the price paid ONE time is not THE price. Also, 32$US for Drac make sense. What NEVER made sense is why Drac was around 55$US in Canada. Why such a surcharge for Canada? It never made sense.

Thank God they came to their senses for Frank.

You are correct, I did have a discount I forgot about, but it was $5 off, my order showed base price of $27.99.

I'm not so sure Frank will go well with Drac. Frank is too colored while Drac is in black-n-white.

Still, I have my Drac wearing the reprolabels so he now have some red. I'm looking forward a nice Reprolabels set for Frank to remove all the :CON: on him and make him more "real."

Frank is really good and I'm glad that this time around, he's the same price here in Canada as in the USA rather than being almost DOUBLE like Drac was previously.

My friend got his Frank, but he just couldn't get over that tank altmode. It just didn't match the time period in his opinion.

Well, Microscopes existed in the late 1800's so he bought at a very high price a Select Magnificus from Amazon and he ordered his set of Reprolabels.
Then because I'm the one making the customs, and I already have a Magnificus with Repros already applied, I could get to work right away.

So here's a (much smarter?) Frankenstein's monster.

Image

Frank's altmode is a microscope with a twist! The original "gun" have an adapter glued in so it can plug in standard 5mm ports easily.

Image

Frank's new bot mode work well, especially with the Repros. As for the head-swap, it was easy because the size and the ball-joint were 100% compatible. Then, the hands were painted for the finishing touch.

Image

Image

Here's DISRUPTOR.
That one required a bit more modding for the new head (I didn't wanted to use the Magnificus head) and to make a brand new tank canon.

For the tank canon, I fused together the Magnificus gun and the Armada Unicron's "secret" chest missile. With some paint and cut screws in the gun and an arm, the canon hold firmly in place and can even hold position.

The "death flower".

Image

Because the bot's body is "zombie like", I needed a head that was kinda "organic". So, the 2007 voyager Movie Ratchet head was perfect. With a bit of grinding and painting, the results are a nice match IMO.

Image

Thanks to the paint, the "flower petals" of the gun can held themselves closed. Not completely, but just enough.

Image

Both are now ready to find their new home at my friend's!

So, what do you think? ;)
