Walmart is getting a whole bunch more exclusives this year, and the theme is G2. The good news for you is that it means Shadowstrip (G2 Dragstrip) is getting rereleased as part of this new line. Below we have a mix of product codes, names as well as images of what this line will consist of. These are part of this week's collector con event from Walmart. We will news when the preorders are available. Also please note: THERE IS NO GUARANTEE ALL THESE WILL BE FOUND IN STORES. They may be online only, like Galaxy Shuttle, so if there's anything you like, preorder it when you can.

Orange Jazz is nice, but seeing that reveal next to Diaclone-mold Thundercracker and Hound in 'toon colors makes me hope they'll start repainting newer molds into single frame/panel AKOM/Yomotov errors, like Hound-colored-Jazz from the original Marvel miniseries, and Kingdom Cyclonus in different Seeker colors to finally give him a proper armada!

IDK if Zobovor still works for WalMart, but they're so close to fulfilling his wildest dreams...

But somehow, I just can't get excited for any Dinobot repaints, even ones that should've happened back in the day. The only "extra" Dinobots I want to expand my personal team with would be updates of the Four Star remolds, and other KO variations, with modern articulation and possibly the ability to combine into a second gestalt...Dinostator? Have any 3P companies done this yet?

Ok I gotta ask again: are Hound's feet mistransformed?

These colors didn't make the cut back in the 90s for a reason...

But the one that has me the most concerned?

This makes me super happy. I have this strange love for G2 and seeing it revisited scratches that collector itch.

Ahhh, yeah I'm glad I waited out for Toxitron, that deco looks scrumptious. Cloudcover also looks quite snazzy and I do love bulking up my Seeker ranks...
G2 Jazz looks cool as does G2 Grimlock's art, might not pick em up but it's cool those decos are finally seeing the light of day for collectors!
G2 Mirage and G2 Dead End coming soon is also pretty cool, and thank goodness for the Shadowstrip rerelease.
G2 Sideswipe is cool, I do hope we get Shattered Glass 'Swipe too though because I love that deco.

Yellow and blue tiger stripe Grimlock! At long last! He will be mine! That actually bumps Trypticon colours Grimlock off the list.

Galaxy Shuttle was online only? I swear I saw him in my Walmart around Christmas. Or was he online only in the states, and not here in Canada?

I love G2 Sideswipe, but the colors already worked so well on the Siege mold that this seems like a wasted slot. (And if it's Go-Bots G2 Sideswipe it'll be awfully similar to Wal-Mart Deepcover.)

G2 Jetfire from Siege Jetfire would be admittedly be amazing to see (but admittedly too expensive to be practical), and Go-Bots Mirage from Earthrise Mirage would be pretty good, but I wish we could get more of the G2 //characters// instead of just alternate decos. Even reusing molds there are lots of options. Studio Series Jazz as Blowout or Frenzy would have been great. Earthrise Sunstreaker as Highbeam, Earthrise Mirage as Double Clutch, PotP Jazz as G2 Drench...

Motormouth from Hoist would probably look good but be too similar to the Diaclone Trailbreaker recolor.

Huh. Is that Jazz based on a previous deco, or is it an homage to something? Cause honestly, it looks like a prototype figure someone nabbed from a factory.

That being said, I’m a sucker for a light blue color scheme, so I’ll definitely be adding Cloudcover to my growing seeker armada.

I'm interested for another chance at Shadowstrip. But my only interest in these G2 repaints might be if they glow really bright under black light.

There's a reason why these colors went out of fashion in the 80's. I had a patient in my office Thursday that was puking that color green.

Kids do love those brightly coloured Power Sheriffs and Ninja Tortoises even back in those days, and with nostalgia in full effect right now, I feel like this'll likely do well.

At least HasTak acknowledged how neon and "toxic waste" these decos look!

Jazz: hard pass.

Conehead: tempting.

G1 toons: Hound and TC, must haves!

Grimlock: soft pass.

Sideswipe: wait n see.

I find it interesting that Dead End is the next G2 Stunticon (as opposed to Wild Rider). But as Wild Rider and Brake Down are from the same mold, I'm hoping they actually release as a Pulse or Amazon exclusive 2 pack. Making them part of a 2nd Toxitron wave later in the year is almost a guaranty no Walmart store will actually carry them, and online pre-orders will be a pain to deal with (Just like Velocitron wave 2).

While I'm not really a fan of Generation 2 or Toxitron, it's nice that these figures are trying something a bit new by focusing on cancelled decos. I most likely won't buy any of these, but I do like the art work and smaller details on the packaging, it has a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles look and feel, even if that wasn't the intention.

Man, I would have preferred a G2 Breakdown but will take what we can get This might get me to bite on Grimlock finally too. I do wonder if Sideswipe will have his spikey tires and or machete/toaster gun

The colour scheme for this Sideswipe won't be the same as that Siege Exclusive. In an other thread, Sabrblade shared the unreleased deco for him in G2.

Oh I'm silly, I expected it to be the other G2 deco for Sideswipe. I somehow didn't connect the dots with literally every other deco being unreleased.
I'm definitely excited to see Sideswipe in those unreleased colours! Gonna happily nab him with Jazz and Mirage.
