Those are some crazy prices. I cancelled my original order and placed a new order for 2 of each. Pretty nice.

Daaamn, i thought i did good @ $20 with $9 in card points.

EDIT: I just emailed for a price adjustment; if it goes through, i will have the set for under $10.

You Americans are lucky as balls. I had to pay my Evac Squad almost 75$ shipped. :BANG_HEAD:

HLJ had a crazy sale for transformers Go! figures and they apparently went real fast. However, the same prices for those combiner samurai figures are still available here:

They also have the Sentinel Scorponok & Black Zarak figures for 50% off; now they're 22,500 Yen (roughly $187 USD):

How cheap were those predakings for you to go that long route?

Around $80 a piece when converted to USD. The last Japanese reissue was on sale/ on clearance, which compared to the $250 pricetag at places like BBTS, it was an awesome deal. I was hoping to get two and sell the second to a friend to offset shipping costs, but I couldn't get anyone to go in on it with me. If I was successful, I probably would have paid around $120.

Then you must have been pretty happy about the Platinum reissue that came out this year then. It cost about that same amount as what you would have paid if you were succesful.

Absolutely. I just wish it didn't come out the same time as Platinum Bruticus and Metroplex. Those two months were pretty expensive. :HEADHURTS: For $120, I could live with not being able to reuse the inserts holding Predaking in place to store him when he's not on display.

Not bad. Although what confuses me about these two is that they don't transform. G1 Scorponok's transformation is not involved and just relies on changing the configuration of the figure's limbs. For such an expensive figure, I dont get how they could not give it at least the same functionality as the G1 toy. Though I might be wrong about this and welcome further explanation and correction.

I paid $550 for mine before shipping. Saved for months to guarantee I can get one. This is a great deal. In case you missed it before, I have some unboxing photos here at this link.

A few minor modification would have allowed it to "transform", but I guess that's too much to ask of a $500 Transformer toy. The more you pay, the less you get. If this thing had no articulation at all, it would be $1000. "Steal of a deal"? Only if it was 95% off.

I recomend anyone who is interested in a Scorponok to get the original instead with its head master for a little over 100$ on e-bay. It wont be complete but it will be able to transform, wont lose any value, and will be a much cheaper option. It also has an awesome base mode:

:-?

C'mon guys. The hating on non-transforming transformers is understandable, but this is not the thread to do it in.

And please, watch Vangelus' review of this thing before you bash that aspect of the figure. There are plenty of design and aesthetic choices that factor into whether having this figure transform would be feasible or even desirable. Besides, this guy is way more articulated than the original toy, and is also massive. In many ways, you're getting MORE than what the original toy offered. Not less.

I'm years late, but I only just now have an Amazon addiction since they have really good deals lately on Transformers. Some of these are third party sellers, but they are Prime eligible.

$8 AOE Power Attacker Optimus http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Exti ... B00ECV4KAO

$7.23 AOE Power Attacker Grimlock http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Exti ... B00G69QT4A

A lot of really good prices on Hero Mashers http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_ ... ero+masher

$20 Takara FoC Air Raid http://www.amazon.com/TG12-Transformers ... B009QVQQSY This deco is incredible!

And for WilliamJames88, really stupid good deals on Transformers Go stuff http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss? ... formers+go

I'm not an expert on the exchange rate, but some of these look like similar prices http://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2 ... rmers%20go

Sure, but its not the same selection. I was looking for that purple shark. But its all good. Less money to spend. I would not have gotten these, but at the HLJ prices you had found (15 bucks a toy), I would have gotten some combiner sets.
