I am 100% certain Takara will give us a version of TR hotrod. Its not an IF but a WHEN.

But remember, they may combine him with a targetmaster partner bringing up his price point, which might still make some fans on the fence go with the Hasbro version (if the Hasbro version is still available at non scalper prices).

Waiting for the takara releases is always a tricky thing. But since its an original mold, it will happen , we just have to be patient.

I already have the hasbro version, I just want to know approximate time tables for reveals form them, seems like ages they did the wave 2 stuff. I might double-dip if their hotrod is really nice. Though, I know that wave 3, 4, and 5 are shaping up to be mostly repaints with new heads, TT will be skipping most of them, but I was hoping that they do a tav release of o/p as nemesis prime or rid scourge

It really is a shame that the japanese audience has to import all of the repaints that hasbro puts out, knowing that TT will never release them (Getaway, quake, krok, etc.)

Bingo, not hoping for much, since the hasbro one was so accurate, but if it is nice enough (and the titanmaster is painted nicely - a big peeve of mine with the hasbro on) I'd consider it.

Ah well, they can now feel our pain of having to import MPs.

I'd heavily doubt the idea of Takara making Targetmasters for Hot Rod, Kup etc. especially given their releases of Scourge and Blurr didn't have them. I know, I know, debbie downer... I should give Takara the benefit of the doubt, especially when they gave us that awesome six-member version of CW Liokaiser ;)

Takara might surprise us with the Decepticon '87 Target Masters. Remember, they did a boxed set release for remold-mates Trailbreaker and Hoist for their Generations line a few years back. I could see a nice 3-pack for Legends after the "Trypticon relaunch" of Triggerhappy, Misfire, and Slugslinger. I'm also crossing my fingers for an Insecticon 3-pack, making all of their purples, yellows, and grays finally match, and going with the original Hasbro tooling for Shrapnel and Bombshell, without the circular indents for the ugly TAV stickers.

Fellow Seibertronian Cyberpath has notified us of a new image and tweet from Takara Tomy Transformers, about their Legends line and Trypticon's (Dinosaurer) place as LG43 - but also comparing it in size with Hasbro's version of another Titan class: Metroplex! Check it out below.

EDIT: In addition to the above, we also have confirmation from various sources, but first notified via D-Maximus_Primal and Arpeniox, that the big purple space T-Rex also includes a catapult feature, that we have yet to see in action in any of the images or clips. More info below!

Trypticon, known as Dinosaurer in Japan, is an immense, city-sized juggernaut of sheer destructive power! Check out the level of detailing on this massive beast (nearly 45cm tall in robot mode) He comes with Full-Tilt in his vehicle form, a Headmaster, a catapult, and an additional weapon, and he can transform into his vehicle and base modes as well.

The Legends version isn't finished, they're just previewing things with the Hasbro version.

They're forcing the perspective a bit by having Metroplex leaning a sideways onto his right leg past Trypticon, but it looks alright. I'm sure the TT version won't have the green hands and have chromed feet.

The listed weapon is probably just Full-Tilt's gun. Catapult though, that's not something we've seen mentioned before. Brunt, maybe?

Oh, and as for the "will they or wont they" for the remaining Hasbro figures getting into Legends, let's not forget that TT also needs to start thinking about the new stuff coming from Power of the Primes. It's getting harder and harder to explain why everybody is a Headmaster, but the PotP stuff should bring us back to normal, less gimmick laden figures (partially anyway)

OH LORD YES! That's the pic I've been waiting to see! =P~

So how much more plastic does Trypticon have than Metroplex? I mean he is really hollow, but there still looks to be some girth on him.

I know what the catapult is and yes it is in the pictures - it's just like the original a ramp that tips up so a car slides down his tail ramp when in city mode. There is likely a lever on the back to activate it - you can see it as a panel full tilt is often sitting on in vehicle mode.

It even shows the car zipping down the ramp in one of the official photos - so that is an illustration of that feature.

I didn't know that. I just complimented the nod/homage/inspiration to Wipeout. Is it a crime to compliment the designers' choice? I mean Wipeout is now Fulltilt! Who would have have thought? And tfwiki is the last place I'd look being that it's frail imperfect beings like us who actually contribute to it's contents (me being one of them) >:oP

Maybe, maybe not. It could be a matter of interpretation. Its not listed as an additional feature (over the Hasbro one) unlike the additional weapon, so my guess is that they are just referring to the launching mechanism on the ramp.

Mechastrike wrote:"The Five Faces of Darkness" episodes are still my faves.
