Similar head… entirely different alt mode.

SS is great, already own him and love him. But I’m a Wheeljack fan, would like a Wheeljack with a rounded windshield chest and the sports car alt mode if possible. And before you say it, yes I already own Earthrise / Netflix / Kingdom / Legacy Wheeljack.

Why do one-step Transformers look so bad now?

Image

Less articulation than a one-step figure from 1996?? :-?

Also, Prime... Why the long face :P

Because limiting articulation ensures a smoother transformation and that's what Hasbro prioritizes for that class. It means a 2 year old could transform one step RID sideswipe but have a much harder time with BW rattrap.

Twitch looks great, the rest may be impulse buys. I particularly like how Megatron is big & intimidating, but doesn't really look evil. Maybe it's just the angles, but the do head & face look softer and older?

Well, he's not "the Villain" this time around. Mandroid is.

doesnt Marvel hold the trademark to the name Mandroid?

I really liked the 123 transformers/gobots and bought them as a parent but don't think I would with this low grade simpler stuff.

Showed these to my 4 year old. He can transform toys like classics Optimus and yet what he liked best from the reveal were those finger ones.

I think that's a bit of a disservice to the the 2 y/o. I was 2-3 around the time of Sunbow. None of the original line were beyond the ingenuity of a child. I think the ethos to those one-step figures is Hasbro being cheap and getting away with it. By trying to imply the basic transformers were ever too advanced for their target audience.

Forgive me for not being so pessimistic like most people, sometimes I am genuinely surprised with what is given to us by HasTak.
I think in this case it will probably be the same as before but I'm keen to see if maybe they'll change something up.
Kinda surprised they went with this mold instead of the other 'Screamer one that had all the blast effects - aside from cost reasons. :-?

It's because this Skywarp is part of the Warrior class. The Starscream mold with the blast effects is a Deluxe.

Ah, thank you. Completely flew over my head that they're in different classes. Now that makes more sense!

I get similar vibes from these Earthspark toys that I did from the Cyberverse line, which I skipped completely. Cyberverse was made for younger folks. They were simpler and a bit tougher, which makes sense because with children, they are handled more roughly. Earthspark seems to be of a similar sort. I didn't really like the look or feel from Cyberverse, which means I probably won't collect Earthspark either. But it's still early, they may pull some surprises. We shall see.

You can't really call someone "daft" and other immature expletives if you're not specific with your statement and/or move the goalposts each time.

There's no reason to be this aggressive!

Elita-1 looks horrid. THat vehicle mode....it's like they didn't finish it or something, and there's just too much pink. It detracts from the figure.

I am getting that Megatron...what a unique alt mode for him! I love it! So different from anything he's ever been (save for IDW stealth bomber Megs).

Why does that Optimus look like he has dad bod?

Bumblebee...My wife was looking over my shoulder and said, "Again? Good God, I wish he'd just go away." I agree.

Twitch...Twitch is interesting. Not sure how I feel about it, but again it's a very unique alt mode (with a horribly disguised head). May pick it up because it's a new character.

The Seeker...well, Hasbro had to milk the Geewunners somehow and another round repainted Seekers is always good for that. Otherwise, meh.

Closer to SG Skywarp when you look at that color scheme, may have to pick him up just for that.

Absolutely nobody thinks calling someone a retard and asking if they're daft because YOU keep changing what you mean is "fun". You need to start being clearer with your words and stop being a jerk to your fellow board members.
