Hey now, I know how to pronounce Ginrai's name properly.
But with GIF... I don't care what the creator of the format says, a hard G sounds more natural for it (as opposed to sounding like a peanut butter brand). Especially since "Graphics", the first word in the acronym, starts with a hard G.
