And Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

And if we're really good boys and girls, we get Megatron and Starscream.

Don't forget another Fanblade (read Windblade).

Stinker indeed.

Edit: totes read right over Cary's Fanblade jab.

Do you think they ever go on double dates?

So who are the third wheels? Ironhide and Soundwave?

This ... this cannot be happening.

I find a good priced Hasbro Whirl on E-Bay. He arrived today. Broke him out of the bag and without even opening the box.

I could smell it.

He stinks.

Whirl #2 stinks.

I couldn't resist, sorry.

But also, I really am sorry that you've had such poor luck with this figure! :(

I would recommend adding him in tub of boiling hot water with dishwasher soap and scrub him. Dry it afterwards.
(Skip this step if he has stickers.)

Step 2 buy a of home aerosol with a good smell and spray it over him. Empty the whole can all over if you have to. Most of them are available in citrus, lavender or vanilla. Strong home odor cleaners can do wonders but don't use anything acidic that contains chlorine. It can stain objects and be impossible to remove.)

Wouldn't boiling hot water deform the plastic and mess up the transformation tabs?

If it's immersed for a long time it will (learnt that trick when I was tie dying TF's).

But a quick splash should be fine.

I know. I'm post-band and post-work so I'm tired and loopy and picking on children in Earth Wars general chat.

Sweet baby Primus this is getting silly. There is some bizarre curse hanging over you, Burn...a very specific curse, but a curse nonetheless. I don't know if Australian Bush Magic can solve your Whirl woes, but it's worth a shot. Or alternatively just try and block out the stench with something nice smelling.

Technically i meant just hot enough like when doing dishes. and for a very short time. I also advised to skip that if it has stickers or electronics or die cast.

However home fragrance sprays can work wonders before doing more step.

I read dryer sheets are really good at sucking nasty smells. you leave the object wrapped in the sheets and leave dry out near a good outdoors air conditioning

Something in the plastic is reacting to something in the air. Without wanting to alarm you, I think you should be very alarmed. It's definitely government/religious leaders/aliens.

He got a soap bath the other day, didn't really help.

I sprayed him directly with some Glen 20 "Citrus Breeze". You guys in Australia, don't buy this ****. This **** **** stinks more than Whirl does and it's suppose to "eliminate odours". It may eliminate them, but you're just trading one stink for another.

It worked a little btw, but not a 100% solution. Lets see how a vinegar bath goes.

All things considered, he's no where near as bad as the first Stinky Whirl. That thing was a lost cause.

Not to rub it in, buy my Whirl is every bit as scentless as it's ever been. You sure it's the toy and not something it's been exposed to before you got it?

This has happened twice now with two different figures, one Takara (majorly stinky) and the other Hasbro.

Takara came from HLJ, Hasbro came from Tasmania.

No other figures are affected and I've received plenty of them through the mail system.

Plus, other people have reported similar experiences.
