Just got an email from Hasbro Pulse about the Autobots Stand United 5-pack going on sale. Link is broken, but it came with pictures.

Not really. It's a Legacy United set, it belongs in this thread just as much.

Hopefully the set comes to Amazon sometime as well. And I'm still waiting for Gears...

So far I've only seen Selects on Amazon from 3rd party sellers and not Amazon itself.

Yeah, Selects is intended for fan shops, which I guess Game Stop is considered, but Amazon would be a major retailer.

I've seen people speculate that if Amazon got the set there would be many returns with at least one figure swapped for the original.

Probably, and unfortunately. I get that perhaps it's troublesome to do, one could always just sell the unwanted Bots. Surely someone out there would take Sunstreaker for $35ish versus paying secondary prices. The other three probably aren't as in demand but would still have some interested parties due to the window treatment.

Or just send it back without the figure they want and say it was missing. If they're lucky they'd not just get their money back but Amazon might even tell them to keep it.

Ugh, of course. Scammers. Yeah, that's a pretty good reason not to offer it, I guess. I've been using Amazon so much for TF purchases I'm not used to anywhere else, not even Pulse. They charge too much in shipping and taxes.

First look at two of the Amazon-exclusive Mayhem Attack Squad-themed 2-packs of the "Doom 'n Destruction Collection":

Excellent! Figures I already really wanted, but not only do they look great, they come with bonus little guys!

I really hope that one guy who always discusses the deluxe bugs sees this.

I like all of them, surprised at Breakdown, but somehow he looks good?

Not getting these, but they look really great. Finally the Deluxe Insecticons will be getting some love. All the expected retools are now done. I wonder how/when we are getting Venom? (So many leaks lately I want to say it was on a list somewhere)...also will it be a new mold, or a further retool of one of the existing Insecticons?

Back when Netflix issued their WFC exclusives to Walmart, I said the Optimus Primal one pack should have came with 2 Battlemaster repaints of Smashdown, (instead of Rattrap) Id have purchased that in an instant. Now as a Battle Master Completist, I am faced with the difficult task of finding someone who is selling Malleus Minotaurus on his own, for a reasonable price.

Also, good on whoever decided to do a "theme" with these. Not breaking up the Insecticons with 2 other random bots.

The deluxe insecticons look pretty good. You can barely tell they are Bombshell and Shrapnel.

Ahh, the long awaited Bulkhead re-use in the from of Prime Breakdown... wait, wasn't the two-pack Knockout and Windsweeper?

Turns out it's Prime Breakdown. That's an unexpected turn of events.

He looks good, the head is a bit odd, but not bad. But not sure I need that mold again as good as it is, though why does his hammer Micron come with the Insecticons exactly?

Evil Habsro making me buy 2 sets to get a complete Breakdown?

I wonder if this was some intentional misleading to prevent leaks?

If it was, it failed. Leaks happened. Just got one name wrong.

They may have provided 1 incorrect name to locate a source of a leak, who knows.

Also, Breakdown has his hammer, he is complete for the set.

So the Hammer micron is not his?

If so, then why is there a Hammer micron at all?

The insecticons don't carry hammers. At least not Chopshop or Barrage.

And Venom, if this is meant as a nod to him, carried an Axe, not a hammer.

I don't even know what I'm looking at but that Needlenose repaint ain't half bad looking.

I don't know why...but seeing Barrage now always makes me smile. Someone writing the below bit on Family Guy was definitely a fan.

Also, for a future crossover, Hasbro needs to make the Decepticon canoe "Negatron" happen.

Definites on the insecticons, I even like the lazy repaint Windsweeper but not enough to buy it with that version of Breakdown (though I like his head). Though having thunderwing and crankcase means I'm going to end up with that breakdown dang it.

so, JTPrime confirmed he made a mistake on the leaked listing. It was supposed to be Breakdown all along. No conspiracy theory. Nothing to see here, move along.

Also, pre-orders up on Amazon for the 2 sets.

Breakdown and Windsweeper - Amazon.com
Chop Shop, Garage and Maleous Minotaurus - Amazon.com

Hammer is not his, no idea why they included it.

But, if you look, the hammer has the Solus Prime symbol right on their head, and the extra effects part helps give the impression this is not just a hammer, but a forge.

In short: somehow it is a teaser for the Prime line next year

I really wasn't interested in these insecticons since I didn't get ransack either. But man do they look good. And I didn't get the original uses of their molds since I have the fansproject insecticons already. I may just pick these up and get venom for a trio!!

Windsweeper looks cool, I do love that mold
Breakdown is a mixed bag for me. A pleasant surprise and a character I want in my collection, but not as a retool of Bulkhead. Because that just takes away from the rivalry for me. I like that they're both big chonky bois in their own right, it makes the rivalry better. But trying to have Bulkhead clash with a blue version of himself just bores me. Shame
