Found Animated Prime at Target today. Gotta say, he's a bit bigger than I thought he'd be, but overall pretty satisfied with him

Unfortunately, that piece is kind of integral to the transformation, as it helps to hold part of the altmode's underside together.

You mean it wasn't noticeable until now? I've been shaking my head about it since 2009 when I got TFA Prowl.

It's Transmetal Blackarachnia all over again. They could just have remold A. Prowl with the pegs inverted. But that's costly.

Shard looks pretty fantastic, I am loving it! Rock copter indeed!

Chromia actually kinda works for me. It's not accurate, but it looks good. Only think will be I need to decide if T30 or this one goes to Cyberverse and which one stays on the G1 collection. I skipped siege Chromia, did not like.

Also, for some fun, have some Tigerhawk with the original

HAHAHA

And man, collecting has been ROUGH. Even with standard national online options I'm currently **** with Breakdown, Shrapnel and core Snarl. The amount being skipped in 2023 was unreal. What I hate is how there is a very good chance it comes up later in the most random way (like the beast wars reissues I posted about the other day).

Its just occurred to me how much remold potential Animated Bumblebee has. I wonder if we might see an Animated Wasp or Cliffjumper in the Legacy line?

I think this has a lot more potential for customizers than for releases. But who knows, maybe Hasbro will follow the troopbuilder multipack with a big box set of background extras. Doesn't scream "flying off the shelves," though.

Yeah I think Wasp or Cliffjumper are the only ones that really have potential for individual releases, but I could definitely see a troop builder pack kind of thing with several of them in it.

I'd be a buyer because Legacy A. Bee may be the BEST Transformers so far this year.

I know the year is just one month old but still... :-P

I'd be down with it, especially for characters who got only a basic toy that is now hard to get, or not one at all (see Wasp-not-inator)

Agreed. Oh and I finally saw wave 1 united core toys at Target, the whole assortment. On Friday afternoon I went to an out of the way location about 25 miles away from my home because they were the only store that carried some Super 7 Target exclusive Godzilla toys I was looking for.

Video Review of Transformers Legacy United Gears

The second wave of Legacy United has hit US ports and is ready for distribution across the globe, so we are seeing more and more of its contents. Like this new review for Gears. It highlights some parts which we couldn't see from the initial images. You get a good look at his backpack, which is pretty massive for a minibot. But the main issue fans are not happy with is the view of the truck mode from the back since that's where the robot mode chest ends up. We do see a fun east egg though with an M on the back of his robot mode head, homaging the G1 toy.

Let us know what you think!

Also, as we have seen with previous waves, Hasbro has been lowering production numbers on these toys, and brick and mortar distribution is unreliable. There is a chance this could end up like Beachcomber so if you think you might want this Gears, it is ill advised to wait to see it on a shelf or wait for a discount.

Sadly, it looks like those high-riding tires are part of the overall engineering. That's the only thing I find objectionable. Each tire is sticking out so far from the wheel wells that it looks like they're ready to fall off. And the tires had a pronounced wobbling in that video, which I attribute to how precariously each one is perched on those hinges. Seriously - they couldn't think of ANY way to make them a bit more snug?

Only 3 Toys Have Yet to be Seen from the Second Wave of Legacy United

Fans are eager for the reveals of the second wave of Legacy United, especially when these toys could show up any day now. It may not have been realized by all yet, but we've already seen 4 of the 7 new figures this wave has to offer.

Since deluxe Sureshot and core Dinobot are said to no longer be part of this wave, that leaves the following:

Core BM Cheetor
Deluxe G1 Gears
Deluxe Cyberverse Chromia
Deluxe Shard
Voyager BW Silverbolt
Voyager Cybertron Starscream
Leader G1 Sandstorm

And below are the 4 we have already seen. This is basically to show that we already have a good idea of what is to come and set up your expectations for when the reveals do happen.
