Oh snap, I just realized. Blackarachnia's blue beast mode with orange legs isn't based on her original toy (which was black instead of blue) like her robot mode is, it's the Happy Meal Transmetal toy!

That would have been nice, but the bazooka parts must be gang-molded in with the Earthrise Cliffjumper mold. At least the price of the set seems to be below the cost of three Deluxes and one Voyager, so I can see why Fangry didn't get his guns if it was a cost-cutting measure, especially to reuse an "older" Deluxe mold that might not fit the current Deluxe Class budget.

Its based off the original toy, not the Happy Meal. She looks pretty spot on to the original toy when side by side. Fairly certain she's black with a purple wash from the purple paint used elsewhere on figure. That box puc is deceiving about her colors.

Looking closer at your swapped-legs pic, you're right. The actual figure is black where the box pic is blue, after all.

So, nevermind my previous post.

You know, looking at Blackarachnia's toy box art accurate head, it kinda makes her look like a ninja. "Beast Wars Nightbird", anyone? ;)

I'm digging the Toy Accurate Blackarachnia. I can't wait to get it.
The entire set aside from Bumbleebee is pretty good.

Not that I mind, The mold is nice, and the accessories too and I don’t own a Bee from Siege, Earthrise or Netflix. But still, its like making a set with Earthrise Prime, Beastwars Megatron, Beast Machines Tankor and a random headmaster. Just odd.

He's supposed to be unrelated to the others,, that's why the set is literally called Worlds Collide.

Exactly!. It could have been anybody, Huffer, a couple of Micromasters, a Prime Master in Pretender shell, anybody in that size would have made the set work and still be Worlds Collide and be unrelated to the others. But it's Bumblebee. The only reason its Bumblebee is to make it a Buzzworthy set.

Maybe they have certain amount of Buzzworthy sets they need to produce.

That was the original intention for BW Tarantulas, before the show aired.

I'm gonna be repurposing her and add another possible Tripredacus Agent to the list, after Telemocha Volfang and Prime Legion Flamewar. Maybe sister to Flamewar?

I know it’s painfully on the nose, but I’d rather a silver, black, and purple redeco of Airrazor with a new head sculpt as a Beast Wars update of Nightbird.

That or if this blackarachnia is considered BW Nightbird, she really really hates airrazor for being a bird and they fight all the time lol

Does anyone have the target inventory system id for the worlds collide pack? Want to be able to ask employees to check for incoming shipments.

I never understood why Fangry had organic sculpted parts. Was he supposed to actually be part organic. Was it fake fur he was wearing?

Fangry is fricken awesome.

But I really can't believe how those colors on Nemesis Primal can make me go from 0% interest to 100% interest for that mold. Optimus Primal was an easy pass but I MUST HAVE Nemesis Primal. :x =P~

So what is the significance of Fangry in this set?

Although I kept collecting up to the bitter end of G1 (which I thought was the bitter end of all Transformers at the time), thanks to a Big Wheel store in the next town west of mine that had trouble clearing old stock, Fangry ended up being the last G1 toy I got at the original price, for Easter of '92, cementing him in a special distinction at the end of my childhood. Had no idea G2 would debut that same year, meaning I'd find Slag and Sideswipe under the tree that Christmas. Add in Blackarachnia being the first BW toy I bought after I started college, and this set means a lot; I may actually buy 2 of it for a spider-leg swap with Kingdom BA.

Alas, you can't have everything: those proper wings mean his beast mode is way more Marvel-accurate (not sure how much closer he is to Wilder's animation model) and looks less like Doctor Strange's dog Dog-tor Strange, but he lacks that awesome shield that could double as body armor. Maybe a third party or Shapeways will take a crack at it. Of course, I still have my original.

Pretty much selling the worlds collide theme, while also hinting the return of the other headmaster jrs, which are rumoured to appear in next years line.

I see. Initially I thought this was supposed to be a Kingdom thing. Which is why I thought the sudden appearance of a Headmaster was a bit random.

You weren't the only one, we reported the set as Kingdom before we got word that it was Buzzworthy.

Does Fangry's Spd/Str/Int panel open or anything? Or is it just a neat little bit of detail like a lot of the other Titans Return figures? Obviously his stats wouldn't change with the new head, but it seems odd to detail it that much, and not have any stats displayable

I think I've finally cracked this. A G1 figure, two Beast Wars figures, and a random Bumblebee. Why these? The set name kept bothering me, too. Where had I heard "Worlds Collide" before?

Then it hit me:

Inspiration for Fangry and Nemesis Primal:
Image

Black Arachnia, complete with leopard print top!
Image

And of course, the annoying yellow guy who ties it all together.

I’m stoked for Fangry. That Titans Return Doublecross/Twinferno mold is truly the champion of retoolings. They could have just given Grotusque a wolf head and a redeco and called it a day, but all sorts of details have been remolded again, making Fangry feel distinct from the first three uses of this buck or engineering schema. That’s quite a feat considering how distinct each of the modern Monsterbots already felt.
