Another thing that has me wondering..Will online dealers such as Tf source and BBTs have their own exclusives at the show? I see stuff on their sites and it states that certain items are Site exclusives..Possibly any to be had at the con?

TFSource and BBTS will both be present at BotCon in the Sales Room. There you will be able to buy from them like any other store. They usually have a pretty expansive inventory. To my knowledge, BBTS has never had an exclusive figure, at least not a TransFormer. They do occasionally offer exclusive deals, perhaps that is what you're referring to?

Soo... expecting the highest pricing for the Primus Package and 3 Souveneirs, and some leftover for the sales room, how much should money should I save up? 700-1000$? Too much? Also for admission, If its 1 person who wants the boxset but 2 who dont but want admission to the entire con, how do the classes and pricing go for, if you know what I mean?

Question about the Souvenir sets. I was wanting to head down to Botcon just for one day though because I'm mainly in florida helping family but I'm really close and I thought I would stop by for a day just to check it out. Anyway I was wanting to try and pick up Gnaw if he comes in a set of three. How would I go about doing this I mean like do I need anything to be able to pick them up, do I have to pay anything to get into the convention to go to the club store, and what time are they available tomorrow night?

This is a pretty good guide, but as a non US person there nothing that is helpful specifically for us. Just a suggestion, thanks :)
Srsly folks, best part of Botcon will be the friends you make. There is almost NEVER a shortage of conversation with anyone. We all speak geek, and weather opinions are same or different, it's just good to be with a group of people that know exactly what your are talking about regarding video games, movies, comic books, transformers, other toys. Only time of year when I can let my full inner geek out, and not just my TF geek side! I'm looking forward to meeting up with old friends and making new ones!

This is one of the main reasons I really wanna go next year. At least I'll find someone to chat with when waiting in the "God" aka Peter Cullen meet and sign line. Anyone want a Aussie girl as a friend?

Guest announcements for BotCon 2011 have not yet been made. That information will be available on Botcon.com in the months leading up to the con.

With the holidays about over Im starting to stack my botcon cash away. Just wondering though, Do you fly into LAX and then catch a cab or whatnot to the pasadena hilton? Pasadena seems a good distance from the airport..cab ride/shuttle bus the best way to go?

Do not fly into LAX if you can help it. It's a huge airport, often crowded, and very time-consuming to fly in or out of. There are several smaller airports nearby, one or two that are actually closer to Pasadena than LAX. There are taxis and shuttles available, though they aren't cheap.

I think I flew into Burbank in '09 and it was pretty good. If I recall correctly, there's also another airport of similar size to Burbank, and approximately the same distance from Pasadena, but cant recall its name.

As for my attendance in '11, it's still undecided, but right now doubtful. It's a very tight year for me financially.

My past experiences with LAX haven't been too bad....or rather, I've had much worse. In any case, it's significantly cheaper (~$300) for me to go to LAX so I'll likely be going that way this year.

And I've gotta keep my eyes/ears open for shuttles again too, I really liked not having to worry about driving last year.

I don't believe I was a member to Seibertron then, but I read the OP when it first came out. I definitely found it useful, and hope it can stick around a bit longer, or at least have some sort of annual renewal for anybody new to Botcon. It answers a lot of questions.

There will be a thorough update/revision later this year when BotCon season hits. My general goal is for the article to continue growing/evolving, making it more informative each time, to help out all the BotCon virgins each year.

There's one thing I still don't get. So..... you need a registration package to get in at all, or you don't need one?

If you register, you get in quicker, and get at least the boxset and Attendee figure if you ordered the right package. They do allow Walk-Ins as far as I know, but no perks for them.

Hey!

Quick question, are the boxed figures sealed in the box with tape etc.? Or is it simply a lid over a box with the figures in a foam insert? I want to know if I should get a Primus package and keep the boxed ones boxed, and the not sealed out for play and display.

All help is appreciated!

If I remember correctly, though, Walk-Ins don't start until Saturday Morning. So if you want to do any of the Thursday or Friday stuff, including the dinner and sales floor you would need to register.

At least that's how it's been in the past. They should have a FAQ page up on Botcon.com site to double check if you'd like.

All of the Fun Pub Boxes to date (2005-2010) have come in Telescoping boxes to open and display or use figures, then put them back without destroying the packaging. So far, they haven't been sealed with tape, and the same will probably be the case this year.

You can also buy a "loose" set of figures without the box (but only if you've also bought a Boxed set). In a weird sort of twist, in recent years these have come in clear plastic bags that are sealed, making the "loose" sets the only version of the figures that are "sealed" in anything other than the display box.
