Profile: Dead End knows that his having an entry in some database somewhere hardly matters. The page will be vandalized. The computers will eventually fail. The data will be lost. The species that made it will go extinct. Their planet will become barren. Their sun will die out. All suns will die out. The universe will implode, or expand into nothingness, or be eaten by a giant evil space-god. So what’s the point?

Despite this deep knowledge of the dark, inevitable futility of existence, Dead End spends an inordinate amount of time polishing and primping himself, leading to speculation among some Decepticons that he at least wants to leave a pretty wreck when he dies. It also leads to a great deal of teasing and derision, which only depresses Dead End more. If he can be actually motivated to fight, he’s a relentless warrior and even cheers up a little, since trying to save his own life can momentarily distract him from how brief and ultimately meaningless it will be. The trick, of course, is inducing him to fight in the first place, since in the end everyone and everything is doomed. Sigh.

Abilities: In car mode, Dead End can reach speeds of up to 220 mph, ensuring he’ll make it to the scene of his own fatal crash in record time. He emanates a radar signal that allows him to detect the movements of any vehicle or robot within a 200-mile radius, and he can use it to mentally map the surrounding terrain as well. This denies him even the minimal comfort of not being able to see his imminent death as it approaches, but he's adept at using this ability to lead enemy Autobots into traps - such as dead ends - too. For all the good it does. In robot mode, he carries a compressor-air gun, which can let out a blast of air that packs a 40,000 psi punch, enough to splinter a grove of oak trees. Which will certainly come in handy if Dead End ever finds himself surrounded by angry hardwoods, though its efficacy against a well-trained Autobot soldier is debatable, at best. Who came up with such a ridiculous weapon? And did they have to give it to him? Typical.

Weaknesses: Dead End is a fearless fighter in battle, but getting him motivated to begin fighting is always a problem. Sometimes he can be so listless and depressed that it takes a direct hit with a cluster bomb to spur him to fight. When that happens, he's usually no longer in any condition for battle.
