Devil Savior Split QC Issues anyone?

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced QC issues with Devil Savior Split.

I seem to be having really bad luck with it. First, the backpack peg being too big is a problem commonly reported. But I'm having another issue that I'm wondering if any of you have.

If you can see my picture, for one of the pegs which should be symmetrical, on the left side (red arrow) you can see there is a different angulation and what looks like excess material. This means there is no clearance for the truck hood to go and the hood will not be able to combine in truck mode. It should look like the right side (green arrow) which has more clearance for the hood attachment to clear.

More seriously I can foresee that when I try to get the head mode, the ear pieces will not be able to slot in properly due to this asymmetry.

Hoping that someone who has this figure could give me some insight. Thanks!

Mine also had the problem with the truck cab not tabbing into the back, and the rectangular cover from the crotch piece fell off (only found out later where it was from).

Slightly more serious, one of the side pieces of the engine compartment fell off during transformation. It's attached to a hinge piece with 2 small screws and the screws had simply stripped the plastic in the holes. I've reattached it with some revell contacta clue and 1 screw (other on's gone missing).

Also, the pin that plugs the upper leg into the hip is fairly loose, so he easily does the split 9pun intented)

Wow were you able to get yours to transform and hold all modes? It seems to be a marvelous piece of engineering but unfortunately with a figure this complex all you need is one inability to attach a key joint and it's all over.

I'm especially worried considering this is a combiner. Would really suck if after spending so much and waiting so long, you can't combine everything.

It does transform and hold all modes, but the legs were a bit difficult and i had some issues with getting the gun and head into the mixing drum, i couldn't get it to close up properly but that's because the manual isn't very clear on what exactly moves where and how (a commong thing with MP toys, both official and 3P)

Manuals tend to be useless especially for transformations as complex as these. Nowadays I go straight to YouTube. These are amazing reviews.

Try PrimevsPrime's video first if you only speak English. I used both to get a fuller understanding of what the transformations entailed.

I haven't heard a single good thing about this toy. Emgo316, who is incredibly patient and good with toys, smashed his and swore off the rest of the set, that gives me a good idea of how bad it is.

Bad in what sense though?

Have you seen one in hand yet?

The transformation is one of the most complex I've ever encountered, but each mode is excellent (except maybe the robot). Primevsprime stated in his review that after getting into head mode, it seemed like it was all worth it. After getting mine done, I tend to agree. I'm hoping that the rest will be less complex (at least slightly).

I've seen in hand images, mostly when he has been broken.

The robot mode is absolutely terrible. The Studio one is so much better, they did not make a great bot mode.

The head mode is nice, but considering everything else bad, it seems not very worth it
