Hasbro pulse has 40% off xmen VHS legends today, so I did a bad thing.

This was after this bad thing too.. (Sabretooth is decent sized, unfortunately wolvys head, neck and scale is all kinds of bad). A Sugar man leg is either going to have to be left in hot water or heated up as it's not fitting. Not really sure I want sugarman in all fairness anyways and he will likely live in a box.

Advent calender deals, different offer each day. Usually just a few items from one brand a day and most brands have had multiple days (Tf, marvel and gi Joe have only had one day so far so probably another to come before the 24th)

Are you sure that is Pulse? I see nothing like that on their site and I really think an email or ad of some sort would have happened.

Are you talking about the ebay page?

Yup, pulse they had the Mojo set yesterday but it sold outbefore I saw the price of it. Could just be a UK thing but I'm sure it was on American site when it asks which site to shop on.

^ If only I hadn't watched so many bad reviews about the Animated line. Although the new Cyclops is supposed to be a really good figure, sans "shading".

Anyway:

Alas, custom mistake number one: I thought ball joints were standardised. It would seem not. The socket for the MOTU Classics Optikk "head", is considerably smaller than the neck ball joint on Bad-Sabretooth. Luckily, in spite of my terrible memory. I had an alternate head all along. One that is actually more in scale with the body than it's actual head.

Next up: Colour Scheme.

The new BAF revealed!

So it was Ch'od after all. Great news for the Starjammers fans, looking to complete the set.

Only missing Raza and Hepzibah.

Since I'm tinkering with the custom figure, I can't help but notice now how easy the Wolverine variant of this guy would be.

For those unaware:

Wolverine "adopted" (aka RIP Fang) this look during The Phoenix Saga.

This was the Toy Biz version, circa 1995.

Now I'm looking at it (2023 Fang) and thinking take two clawed hands from [Brown/Tan Costume] Wolverine figure. Plus an unmasked head and you're done. Should be easy enough?

I know I will end up getting that wave, since I need Emma and Monet for sure, and probably Kid Omega, all thanks to the X-comics I have been enjoying. I guess I will need the other 3, I hate BAF completionism

But I am done pre-ordering 6" scale unless they will actually be hard to get or exclusive. I am cranking back all preorders, FOMO just gotta stop.

Just the gen x figures for me but it wouldn't have killed hasbro to chuck in a wolverine head with Fang especially when the toys bio is saying its wolvie in disguise.

For £20 the previously expensive expanse may have fallen into my hands. The little figures that remind me of metal mutants or something like the ko Street fighter flip up playsets... Wolverine is looking like... Well.. Oh boy. Mainly to stay in X-jet mode but really not sure why they wouldn't have done it has a headmaster to encourage people to buy multiples and have the bot mode a bit more yellow/blue suit style.

Also been aaages since I watched a review video of it so I wasn't expecting the rear fins to be defective and not able to stay straight. This could be be due to the slight plastic stress mark on both of them straight out of the box. Expected it to have more weight but the underside of the nose come is light on plastic/mass.

Think ill enjoy the arcade figure I picked up at the same time more than the jet and I mainly picked him up just because of the old video game. Pretty sure others might have bought arcade to melt his face and have a near perfect custom matt Smith Dr who,

That's what I was thinking, when on my little custom critique. But unfortunately, the thing I've noticed Hasbro doing a lot lately. BAF figures don't get accessories. Maybe an extra set of hands or something else trivial. A BAF piece isn't an accessory, Hasbro. Stop being so cheap!

A friend asked me if my Apocalypse set is now complete? I replied there are still two canonical looks I would like to see in figure form:

Image
En Sabuh Nur ala The Rise of Apocalypse mini series

Image
Cyclopalypse* ala The Twelve/Search for Cyclops storyline

*No, he was never officially called that.
