Importing from Japan question

I ordered SOC GX-78 from Nippon Yasan and noticed it left Japan on 8/2. I went with SAL. A few folks from another forum mentioned they went with the same shipping option and either recently received theirs or it's in the US ready to be delivered soon. Should I be concerned yet? I don't import enough from Japan to know the time lines.

SAL can take as long as 8 weeks, but I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 (in December). Typically I find myself waiting 2-3 weeks.

Cool thanks. Someone else had mentioned that SAL packages are sent in empty spaces on commercial flights, so it could take longer at the end of summer when space is more limited.
In any case, sounds like if I don't get it by end of September I should consider filing something? Hoping it doesn't come to that but just want to be prepared in case.
