So apparently, the separate display bases for each of the 5 figures lock together for a single, light up display stand for the combined mode.

Incidentally, 116 step transformation. Make sure you have time...I will post alt mode pics in three days when I finish changing him....

I have heard his transformation is pure nightmare fuel, but it seems Air Raid is a return to normal though.

Nope, and it was because he dreads the transformation. He already has one up for air Raid

I'm about a third of the way through after about 3 hours. I figure after getting through it the first time and seeing where everything goes, it'll be easier the next time around. I'm not touching the Superion transformation until all 5 arrive.

Same, I am waiting for all 5 to combine. I could combine after 4 since the last one is an arm, but I want to take group shots in robot and alt mode prior to combining, and most likely they will stay combined

I found a video that is helping but it skips some steps. The instruction manual really is terrible.

Honestly though, I am really happy with the figure. It's EXTREMELY solid, has great poseability, and keeps the theme of the team going, continuing to focus on the altmode and realistic colors rather than cartoon accuracy. Some of the joints require a good amount of force to move, they hold poses well afterwards. If it wasn't for the bad directions, this would be a great figure IMHO. I'd like to see more figures done in this style, focusing on alt mode accuracy rather than cartoon accuracy which is often campy.

Fully agreed

So it actually DID take three days to transform him. Just like any of the other versions, all the bot parts are on the bottom of the alt mode. He is very large though....over 19 inches long.

Apparently there is a slot for batteries in the combined mode head.

It looks like Ag4 batteries, which I think is the Sr626 watch batteries.

Nice. I am still waiting on Chosen Prime to get him in stock, I am waiting to ship Silverbolt until air Raid is in stock too.

This Air Raid is easily thr smoothest transformation of the group and the most solid total figure of this group.

Awesome to hear, Air Raid is my favorite aerialbot, and they really did Skydive good, so I was hoping he would be solid too.

I'm seriously hyped for the fifth one now. Can't wait to have the combined version finally.

Hopefully #4 comes in to Chosen Prime soon, they said in response to a request from me it should be this month. Then I can ship 3 and 4, and hopefully 5 arrives soon too!
