Here is my new project. Like i stated before this one is for my Loyal Subjects line. With this diorama i have incorporated my 6 inch Shockwave and 5.5 inch Grimlock as well. From the photos, i will have the Decepticons on the left side and the Autobots on the right. Up against the back wall i have made balconies for each side. For the left side it will have the Coneheads as pictured and on the right side will be my Dinobots. Unfortunately at this time i only have Slag. I hope to add Swoop and Sludge later down the road.
The one photo you can see what looks like a center piece 4 layers high. This will have select characters at different heights. From the photo you can see who might be displayed on and around this center piece.
On the base floor i will display the remaining of my Cons and Bots. I haven’t worked out details on the floor at this time.
Then on the Bot side, you can see these stairs i made which has the 5.5” Grimlock then down lower is the G2 Grimlock and G1 Grimlock.

While it may look simple it will still have some details added throughout and i think it will make this shelf look a little better.

More to follow,

Nice grab with Torca, sadly mine's GPS means i can't get to his alt mode.

G2 Dead End is real nice, I need to get my Dragstrip so they can get paired up.

That BM Thrust is also a nice figure. I found him oddly tons of fun

A small update on my Loyal Subjects diorama. I worked on the center section piece; trying to get the different levels i was wanting so that each figure can be seen. One character i dont have is Soundwave. He will most likely go the left of Bumblebee and Shockwave will go to the back row.

Once i get a few more areas cut out, i will then glue the four layers together. After that, i will smooth out the edges and i can then had more detail to the entire piece as it is glued together. Still plenty to do though.

Enjoy,

Me and the wife went to our first Indy car race in Nashville over the weekend. That was something to see to include the other races they had on that road course in Nashville. On the way back as we crossed back into Missouri we made a pit stop in Sikeston at the Walmart there. You never know what you might find at a random Walmart. They had the entire lineup from the Toxitron line, deluxe to leader class. I had already bought Dead End from Hasbro Pulse but passed on Sideswipe. So i was very happy to find him in the store. In addition, I bought Cloudcover. He was one i never had any interest in but you know what happens when you see one in person, it changes your mind, sometimes.
Then getting home, my other orders from Hasbro Pulse arrived- ROTB OP, ROTB Rhinox, and 86 Brawn.
Cant wait to get all of these guys opened up. Once i get Brawn in place on my Ark diorama i will update with photos there.

It was a great day coming back home.

Real quick, wanted to share a photo of my Ark scene with the addition of Brawn. Definitely loving this guy, he was one of my favorite Transformers i had back in the day. I another character i had added a few weeks back was 86 Arcee. Not sure who else will be added. Would be cool to get Gears or a Windcharger, or even a Seaspray. Guess we will see.

I havent worked on my Loyal Subjects scene in awhile. I finally got the majority of it sealed and it is ready for paint. Here it is before paint. Now the right side wall is not in place so it will look off. I still need to add some smaller details to the far left wall.

Enjoy!

In the G1 world, apparently i have now dipped into the Pretenders. Recently at a local flea market store i spotted some inner robots. They were for Snarler, Bomb-Burst, and Submarauder. I bought them for 7 bucks each didnt think that was too bad considering some of the prices on eBay. Now it was time to find some outer shells. I am still working on finding an outer shell for Snarler. In a deal i managed to acquire the outer shell for Landmine. Hmmmm, another one to complete. I think at this point i focus on completing these three and perhaps at least buy the remaining three from the first assortment. Now with the Pretender beast i think i am going to try for Chainclaw at least. That way i have at least one from each faction. I was alittle concerned whether or not i would have room for these additions to my 1988 shelf but it seems i have the room. As long as i dont get too crazy. My 88 shelf now has some variety for sure.

Enjoy,

Got a new upgrade for ROTB Scourge. I bought a new head that looks much better and even has light up eyes. Got them from PlayerLand, sweetmall-1 on eBay if anyone want to check it out. I know DNA has a new kit coming out next year but for the head, this is a good option if you are seeking a head piece that sits closer to the shoulders.

Awhile back i had bought these reproduction Diaclone Battle Convoy stickers from a seller in Canada off eBay. Obviously, to buy an original Battle Convoy it can be expensive so why not go this route.
I got a great deal on a 84 metal plate trailer to put these stickers on. he only thing about this sticker set, they are not precut, so i had to do my best when cutting them from the sheet. For an added bonus, I decided to switch out the dark blue pieces for the light blue ones. I am not to concern with making this trailer 100% accessory wise, but do need to find the correct matching rear door. Then eventually finding a decent cab/truck to go with it.

Enjoy,

I bought a similar head for my Scourge, it looks much better on him.

Nemesis Lio looks great in the photos. The stock photos didn't catch my eye, but here he just looks cooler somehow?
Just awesome to see you're creating a diorama even for loyal subjects.
 :APPLAUSE:
And I wonder if some third parties will ever do the pretenders right... Hasbro isn't in the mood.

And all blessings on Torca, so he doesn't shatter to peices.

Thank you @RPU1. Nemesis Lio does look good and for me even better in person. I hadn’t planned on buying him until i found him in a store. Thought he would fit in with the gang at the Space Bridge.

That diorama for my Loyal Subjects is definitely taking longer to complete. I think i added too many details, if thats possible. I am nitpicks about stuff and want it to be right. I am about 75% complete though.

I am very careful with Torca. No plans on transforming him.

I finally finished my diorama for my Loyal Subjects shelf. Overall, it turned out good or close to what i was envisioning. Given that it is for LoyL Subjects I went with more colors, giving them their own little world. The photos show the scene without and with the characters in their spots. I do have a couple more to by, more so for the Con side but otherwise its good.

Enjoy,

Some overdue additions to highlight.

In no particular order they are as follows. Most recently i bought another Beast Wars Torca. I think his root mode is cool and rather than take the chance of the one i had breaking while transforming him, buy another. I got lucky to find this one with minor damage for 15 bucks with shipping.

I guess i have been on a Beast Machines kick, adding Ultra Class Jetstorm and Mega class Tankor. Before that i bought Rattrap, so the last one I would like to add is Nightscream.

From the crossover world, i bought the GI JOE/Bumblebee A.W.E. Striker. He didnt didnt come with SGT Stalker, so i added him and for nostalgic purpose i added an original Crankcase character at the wheel.

For my G1 case, i added another Pretender, Roadgrabber. Just need to buy his gun and he will be complete.

Something newer, i took advantage of the Amazon sale and bought Legacy Wreck n Rule Twin Twist. Now he joins my Diaclone shelf.

As always, thank you for looking,

Diorama is looking great!

Also, I LOVE Roadgrabber! The 2 vehicle pretenders are probably my favorite G1 figures!

How would you feel about getting inner robot pretender updates instead of Frankensteining the three forms together? Like Legacy Metalhawk instead of Bludgeon.

Interesting question, but for me, it's a simple answer:

Decepticons should use the pretender shell as their basis, with some inner robot bits sprinkled in, their shells are the cooler parts.

Autobots should use the inner robot designs with the pretender shell bits sprinkled in, their shells are basically armored humans, so just take some of that armor and add it to the inner robot.

Ideally, I'd prefer they actually do the inner robot with the shell as optional armor or something, or do more things like Botcon Oilmaster, but if this is the route we are going, that is what I'd like to see

In my perfect world, they'd just be the inner robots with little figures of the pretenders shells included because size changing.

I wanted to start out by wishing a Merry Christmas to everyone and your families.

Trying to catch up on what i have added to collection. On top of my second display case i decided to rearrange it again. The newest additions are Beast Machines Nightscream and from the RID 2001 line Air Attack Optimus Primal. Keeping with the RID line ,a few months back i was able to purchase Jhiaxus. He certainly adds some color to that side of the shelf.

With my shorter display case it has become a gathering of the various Optimus Prime i have. I obviously have more that are displayed amongst the other display cases per year/series but these seemed to find their way here. With my “NOT” Diaclone Convoy trailer, i was able to snag a OP truck for a great price and in great condition. I just need to find a trailer door that is meant for the metal plate trailer (pre rub). Now the G1 OP on the left side is my Encore version. The other addition to my OP collection was the Gamer Edition OP, which i found last week at a local Walmart.

Moving on to the GI JOE Crossover releases, i received the Soundwave Thunder Machine from Hasbro Pulse. Prior to receiving this, i was able to snag the H.I.S.S. Tankl/Megatron for an outstanding price, brand new. To give them some extra help/drivers, I’ve added from the retro collection, a H.I.S.S. Tank driver and Grunt.

I think thats it for now as far as new stuff. My goal is to really focus on completing my G1 collection. A lot of that is missing weapons or accessories. It’s not a lot but for some of those particular pieces they are quite pricey. Or like finding a Starscream and Jazz. The previous version i had were Encores.

Again Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

My wallet (and shelf scale) would kill me if I got one of the GI Joe TF crossover figures, but I'd say from the pictures that the Soundwave actually looks... decent, suprisingly. Very cool. :D

A small update with the HISS Tank/Megatron. I purchased the sticker set from Toyhax for this. As most sticker sets do, they add that much needed detail to the robot and or vehicle mode. For my purpose, this set definitely makes the vehicle mode look much better. I did apply some of the stickers for the robot mode but again the main purpose was for the vehicle mode. Overall, a decent set to buy if you have this.
