MP-36 should definitely be worth that price. And yeah I don’t see many things passing up that massive price tag. And that goes for most collectors.

I know, right? Because he's so expensive, I'm pretending MP-41 Dinobot isn't on the horizon....

So I completed a little project on Saturday. I posted my Legends Misfire pickup in the haul thread and yesterday I got my IDW Misfire faceplate in from Shapeways. It’s from Steam Shield’s Bot Foundry and I got it in Black Hi-Def Acrylate. Painted it up and I’m pretty happy. ;)^

I should be doing another painting project this coming weekend which is going to be more difficult but, if all goes as planned, way more impressive.

An IDW thing, yeah?

Looks good and sounds like a fun little project! ;)^

Can't wait to see the next one.

Yep that’s the design he’s had while he’s been with the Scavengers in MTMTE. Thanks. :D

Well I wasn’t expecting these this early but here we are, the new projects I was talking about.
Image
I’ve been meaning to get these for months and I finally decided get off my behind and order them from an eBay seller in Japan. I’m going to try and weather them both up a little and the clone kit will probably be turned into Hardcase from the Clone Wars. Actually I’ve got the time so I’m just gonna start building the clone tonight. :-D

Gotta dig Shapeways for giving us more options -- especially if it's for IDW-accuracy.

Shapeways is definitely really cool, bodrock. The same designer also has a Crankcase head and a Spinister faceplate. But if I ever get those it won't be for awhile.

And D-Max, I guess you could say

Well this is a bit late, but I did build the two Bandai Star Wars kits and I painted them up. I kinda ended up rushing them too much, especially the clone trooper, Hardcase. I wasn’t quite happy with it, and I think it still needs finished. But I’m just making these for me so in that aspect they’re fine. Grievous is a lot better but he was also easier. Overall it was definitely a net positive experience, and I plan to get more eventually. Gundams too.

Grievous >> pretty much everyone else. He is so cool, I'm really happy the Clone Wars did him justice

I don’t know if he’s better than everyone per say, but I can definitely say that the Clone Wars did everyone justice.

So with your increasing interest in Gundam models, and an apparent love for General Grievous, does this seem like something you’re interested in?

Most certainly. the one thing I don't like is having to paint, cause I suck at it

Honestly you don’t need to really paint anything. The kit comes with the necessary stickers for the few markings and it looks pretty great just like that. Now it can look even better with nothing more than a simple black wash, which is what I did.

Oh and since I haven’t commented much on the kit itself, I have to say, I think this is the only 1/12 Grievous I’ll ever need. Seriously the only thing I could complain about is the limited outward motion at the hips. And even then that’s not as bad as I thought it would be.

Well I went to a Toys R Us over the weekend. I have to say it was kinda sad seeing all of the store closing signs hanging up everywhere. No TFs or Star Wars of interest but I did make sure to pick something up, so I grabbed the Marvel Legends Ghost Rider and motorcycle. Not much of a deal at all but I thought it would be proper to pick up at least one last thing before the inevitable happens. The figure and bike itself are great.

And in other childhood nostalgia news I found one of the Legacy Dino Thunder Rangers at Walmart. Man I loved that show as a little kid. And the theme is probably my favorite PR theme of all time. Hopefully I can manage to pick up the others at some point. I’m liking this version of Tommy Oliver a lot more than the first one I got, not that it was bad.

Wait, so you’re telling me I should talk about Transformers in my Transformers collection thread? Ha, that’s crazy talk. For real though, Studio Series can’t come soon enough.

Well I took a day trip to Steel City Con and got some thingies. One table had Prime and Megs loose so I figured hey what the hell, why not. Not perfect but still pretty cool. Especially Megatron, I love that design. It’s hard to believe Silverbolt is about 20 years old because man is he great. That transformation kinda shocked me, it’s really creative. HG Obsidian Fury and the Kashykk Trooper were more random purchases. And to cap it off, I met the Emperor himself. Tarkin and the Maul comic came from Target and Barnes and Noble, respectively.

Oh and now you know my real name, right underneath a cheeky little reflection. ;)

Silverbolt is definitely a winner. He is probably my favorite OG Beast Wars figure, beating out TM Tarantulas. I don’t see any reason to make a new figure honestly.

Oh and I have a Twitter thingy now. If any of you guys have a Twitter I’m @SureShot2002.
