Hey, I always loved primal, I just did some introspection, and found that I had a closer attachment to the toy I was never able to get as opposed to the cartoon which I have on dvd (both releases in fact), the cartoon will always be in my heart, but I still wanted a version of the toy in my life.

Definitely recommend grabbing this set if you have even a passing interest in lego, dragons, and/or mechs, you won't be disappointed ;)^

It even comes with all the important figures from the movie too, what's not to love Image

Late to the party, but Helly, where'd you get your Primal? Lots of retailers out there that'd send you a new mask eh? ;)

AHHH! I've been waiting to find out what store that mini-mech is exclusive to; where'd you find it?

Pretty funny story actually. We went to LEGOLAND California last week, and they have a Ninjago-land area thing. In that shop, and in that shop only, they had the polybagged Green Ninja Mech Dragon. I said "awesome, I'll pick it up tomorrow before we leave when we do our shopping".

The next day, the hundreds they had out were gone. No trace!!

I asked the clerk at the desk and he said "Umm, yeah..we weren't supposed to have those out? So we took them off display this morning. They are for a promo starting in September." I said "Aw man!! I specifically came back in here this morning JUST to buy them. It's my fault for not buying it yesterday when it was in my hands. Thanks though!" He said "Hang on a sec, I'll check with my manager."

He wandered to the back stock room, then peeked out and said "How many did you want?" I said "Two if you could, one for me and my nephew over there." He grabbed them, and boom! He then congratulated me as "You are probably the last people to get these until September." I thanked him for the help and built him in the car on the way to Disneyland

Brickset.com has them listed as a "free with purchase" promo starting in September at LEGO Stores and shop.LEGO.com. They also noted that they were given away at SDCC?! Pretty neat!!

I picked up the Ice Tank on the way back from the airport at a Super Target.

I've decided to officially rename Wingspan as Turbo-burd, he's now immensely cooler because of this name change, and now he hangs out with Beachcomber and Seaspray (both of whom stand around flexing) as Turbo-burd and the beach boys 8-)

Got Octane yesterday, as feared, some of the clear plastic head/port is starting to shear from trying to insert 'screams' head onto Octane. Unfortunately his neck socket is too tight to get 'screams' head on without possibly shattering the tm head. Shame his headmaster wasn't solid plastic, the art indicates that you should use the pylon's which would hide the fact his tm arms weren't clear, and it would make the tm more solid. I hate :TAKARATOMY:'s weird clear plastic boner's, utterly ruins whole figures that would otherwise be great :BANG_HEAD:

Octane's great though, love all the extra paint (gonna miss that going forward) his jet mode is easily the highlight, the extra couple of inches on the wings really bring the whole jet mode together, which is awesome.

Also got Scorn for Christmas, he's massive in dino mode

A true return to the ultra class, and definitely deserving of $30 pricepoint. Bot mode is stocky and has a great presence to him; It legit felt like I was handling bw megs all over again (weird, as t-wrecks was on my drawing table next to me while I was messing around with scorn), definitely love him.

Got my grotesque today, scorponok is pretty spiffy, got him chilling out on quake's body. Grotesque himself is great, and really pulls the mold together, the hairy legs didn't really work on twinferno, but on this horrific gerbil thing, I think it's okay, not sure I like him being so squat and wide - especially when the art make's him look so damn cool.

Hard to believe that the headmaster is possible the best part of grotesque, it's just so lusciously painted, like beyond anything :TAKARATOMY: would even do

Got Micronus too, for free shipping, now Overlord's got his dual boob-implants
Gun mode on it is okay, don't have any good guys on display to hold it, so it's just chilling with lord-back-scratcha

I totally agree. He really has a premium feel to him. HC Arcee is good and all, but I wasn't floored. I was with Grotty 8-}

Dude! I know, his tm is incredible, it's got at least 4 colors, and I don't think these weird battle beast tm's are getting the love they should be from whomever recognizes them (Cobo I think) with Lione, Shuffler, Ramhorn, Twinferno, and now Grot, we've got five of these little guys running around, and they're so cool 8-)
