You may be in luck, if what Lazy Aza(he works for MMC) has been hinting at on TFW holds true.

I'm holding out for SXS Hot Flame because I think it looks more accurate, or at least more pleasing, but I'd be interested in a LL Calidus.

Oh man, I'm gonna have to buy two of him :HEADHURTS:
I get the feeling he'll eventually turn back to normal colours in-fiction though.

Oh yeah, I can't see this deco lasting for more than a few more arcs at most. But the blue, purple, and black is really nice.

I know nothing about the current goings on in the IDWverse, but would LOVE a Hotrod in that blue/purple deco :x

Essentially Rodimus took up the colour scheme in mourning of some of his friends. Spoilers? People die in an older-audience aimed comic book about war?

You could easily repurposed it as Shattered Glass too if that's your thing. Watch MMC release that deco with an optional goatee face

Don't think I ever shared this pic on the forums, which is a shame since it's one of my favourite squads.

Image

Mentioned recently on a few other threads that I'm wanting to move the whole expanded G1/Aligned/Whatevertheheck collection to Legends to save money and because it's not quite as important to me as other characters (watch this space, I might just get that little 3P Legends Soundwave...). Because while I'll always have a space in my heart for a G1 Jazz or a TFP Knock Out, there are just other characters and such that have had a bigger effect on me and have bigger importance. For the most part that's essentially IDW and hence IDW (especially Lost Light) will be getting the larger display... but this is the other side of that.

Putting aside that Alpha Bravo, Offroad and Victorion all pull in appearances in IDW (the latter a lot more than the others), this lot is just important to me and resonated with me in other ways. Alpha Bravo and Offroad I fell in love due to that one TFCC story, and Victorion being the first female combiner of course means a lot to me as well - especially when the bios make them rather interesting characters, and it has the first WLW couple in Transformers history. It kind of helps that due to the original molds being for male characters, they look a lot stronger and bulkier than your usual designed-for-gurl Cybertronian and they strike an awesome appearance because of it. Pyra Magna in particular is actually my favourite female Transformer design to date. It's also why I'm not interested in Megatronia; it doesn't hold that same 'first female combiner' appeal and the fiction kind of... the characters really degraded the whole set for me. Plus I'm much happier with the unique colour scheme.

Now I've got that little bit of frustration about Megatronia out of the way so it doesn't spill over into other threads, let's move onto Road Rage; who... is just AWESOME in so many ways! She's the first female MP, she's got an impressive amount of retooling to look feminine while still looking strong; and rather than be a full reference to the E-hobby toy, she's actually modeled after the Animated design! Which is sweet, because she has a great head design and she was sort of like a Cybertronian Samus Aran.
And while mixing MPs with... not MPs is usually probably discouraged, I love the scale here. A Voyager size fits the strength and bulk she's made out to have; standing tall above a lot of other Cybertronians and in this particular team being the only one on par with her (headcanon) leader Pyra Magna. In fact I've got a picture of those two alone I quite like as well.

I don't usually do minimalist displays, but MAN can they be lovely.

In any case sorry if this was a bit more simultaneously negative and sensitive/sincere than usual; I just needed to get a lot of feelings out about plastic representations of imaginary people ^^;

Get it out and off your chest GUR FREN!!!!!!!

I understand the relationship between the Rust Renegades you speak of, but have never heard it put that way, what is WLW? Women Love Women? Please pardon my acronym ignorance.

Japan's cultural misogyny is absolutely horrid and disgusting. So many good things from that culture, but the bad things are REALLY bad. :(

ALL THE FEELINGS.

But also, Road Rage was the one MP after the three I have that really got me wondering again. I'm still tempted now and then, as she's really easy to find out there, too...

Also, Pyra Magna always looks like she gonna mess you up.

Apparently the mold's not up to snuff with other MPs (and I will admit to having a few problems with it; the cavity under the head is not the greatest thing)... but I find that they pale compared both to how awesome she is, and the fact that she's constantly on sale. That's how I got mine, she was £35. £35. For a Masterpiece; can you believe that? Not even like she was Bumblebee's size.

Oh yeah, and the car mode's friggin' sweet

Yeah, WLW = Woman Love Woman. Not sure where it came from or how it started being used, but hey, works. On a related note, MLM = Man Love Man. Now you know! :D

Asia is backwards on a lot of things. I couldt believe how gays were treated in even the most educated countries. there is a mandatory two year military service in Singapore and if you declare yourself as gay, you are isolated with other gays and can't train with the others. My wife's grandmother is living with us right now and she spends her days watching Thai dramas. Their depiction of gays there is more cartoonish than anything I have ever seen. Its as insensitive as mickey rooney in breakfast at tiffany's.

I need some road rage in my life! er, MP ROAD RAGE, that is. ;)

These wonderful pics remind me I also bought Vicki for the same reasons! And although the "backstory" for Megatronia leaves a lot to be desired, I want more female CONs...

That's some nice pocket size fun!
You have Legion Strongarm too, right? Great little mold.

K, the little club (I think :-? ) fiction about AB and OR you are referencing above, is that available online somewhere where I could check it out?

Funny thing - Legion Ratchet is my very first RiD figure who isn't a mini-con; I only had Triceratops and non-weaponiser Dragonus before him. I certainly want to pick up Strongarm though as she's drawn with Slipstream and Jetstorm as my favourite RiD character so I wanna shove her into my headcanon/neo-G1 legends/legion lineup :D Ratchet just also fit perfectly for me; I'm glad he got both a legion and a totally-not-deluxe as the design's spot on even as an update of the G1 character (and as the MTMTE character!)

I'm probably too late since Va'al linked it, but while it easily works as a standalone story the Offroad/Bravo prose is a bit confusing without the context of the previous three stories - Counterpunch, Fractyl and Toxitron - that came before it. I've read all of them (aside from Fractyl, for some reason lost interest halfway through - guess it's just not my thing) and I love them all, but the Offroad and Alpha Bravo one is the closest to my heart. ... also they're much cheaper to buy and display than the Wreckage team

I promised thoooughts~

Ratchet is a wonderful start. I have good things to say about the robot mode too, but the vehicle mode is where this dude wins for me. Okay yeah sure unlike the Warrior version there was no effort put into turning Strongarm into an ambulance... but it still looks cool! Still love this vehicle, looks so chunky and strong yet cute and lovely all at once. And he rolls so well!

Image

Like I said above, the RiD Ratchet design doesn't just work for the Aligned dude to me; it makes for a great MTMTE Ratchet AND a Neo-G1 Ratchet. This guy's going right next to what very few Legends Autobots I have, and I like the size here even in comparison to Generations Legends - he's a doctor, not a soldier! He looks great and fits the part, but the only problem is the limited articulation. Would have liked some more in the arms, and a simple swivel for the head would have given him soooooo much personality. But still, he's able to pull off a couple really neat poses!

Image

Image

Arise, Laser Ratchet

Image

Really hate to say it, but Bumblebee's where things start to fall apart a little for me. Despite my disdain for the movie aesthetic he is really cute and I love him quite a bit; but his plastic feels so extremely soft and he comes apart very easily. I do kind of want to put this down to the very, very hot sun during purchase today, but it wasn't a good first impression.

Image

Vehicle mode totally makes up for it. It's cute as a button and I cannot resist just doot-dee-doot-dee-dooting it along when it doesn't even have wheels! Using his spoiler to flip him in the air has also proven highly amusing.

One other note? For this little neo-G1 display I decided that the T30 Legends Bee would be too for a Legion/Legends display (like c'mon, on the level of Optimus and bigger than Jazz? That just ain't right), so if anything I figured I'd go for the RTS mold that was redecoed in AOE or whatever and was still being sold everywhere that sells Transformers here. To my dismay? Turns out he's bigger than your modern Legion, and again, just wrong to me - Bee's supposed to be tiny.
Aaaaand then I made a remarkable discovery.

Image

LOOK AT HOW PERFECTLY IN SCALE THEY LOOK! The black throws it off a little, but the chibifying of TLK Bumblebee has weirdly made him look like his Classics self in even tinier form and I am loving it. What this means is that I am totally gonna be on the lookout for the yellow TTC Bumblebee to have in vehicle mode among my Legion Autobots. This is wonderful :D

Got Titans Return Bumblebee today. I love him and he's great, but I'm gonna have to hold off an actual post gushing over him because with his arrival, there was something more important afoot.

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, Brown, Black

With almost all the participants confirmed in some way to be what the flag resembles...

Happy motherfriggin' Pride Month :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

And yes I swapped Bumblebee's arms around. Looks so much better that way
