Shakalakadingdong's place is open too? Maaaaaan.

So many pretty things too, that MP shelf is quite masterful. Pieceful. Peaceful? (Not if you ask Red Alert..)

Thanks for coming y'all!

I've acquired some things lately, but I need to specifically mention: Alternity Bumblebee.

Image

He. Is. A. Pain. In. The. Ass.
Right out of the box, the Swift mode wasn't solidly together. Will he fit together better when I transform him back to Swift mode? We'll never know, cause I don't plan on it. There's an infamous slider piece that took a TERRIFYING amount of force to move. He stayed in the mangled state above for two days before I made my way to youtube to figure him out. Multiple videos later I realized that I had to scarily force it out the way I'd been trying to avoid.

Anyways, the end result is OK. His feet are really odd. Not a fan. Guess the biggest plus is that I only paid 20 bucks for him :KREMZEEK:

Thanks for the warning. Sorry that sucked.

That's pretty hilarious :) I'm glad I never picked him up! I feel like there is a bot that I ran into that with, and I can't remember who it was..they must be buried somewhere

I'm back. I think. Well, I'ma try anyways.

Maybe an explanation is in order. Short story: life.
Long story... is that my time was being siphoned off by some life changing events like splitting with my 4 year live-in girlfriend, and getting a promotion at work. I still very much kept up on my collecting, but news duties and even just general discussion on the board (which I both sorely miss) I had no energy for.

Me and the ex separated on great terms and we still hang out and get along. I jumped right back into the dating scene firstly to sew some wild oats, and now am getting back into the serious mind set. Either way, its exhausting. That coupled with my new job has left me feeling really drained (its way tougher than I gave my previous boss credit for). I attribute collecting to keeping my sanity during these times, as well as the pay raise and newly available overtime to do so. Cause damn, I've been buying TF's like they're going out of style. Lately, if it ain't utilities, gas, or food, its been toys

So I wanna share what I've been up to lately, thought its way too late to drop months worth of hauls in the hauls thread. Not to mention that this is probably only half of it. So I'll drop them here with a few quick notes, enjoy!

Right here, is the coffee table pile. As I recall this was my latest batch from Hobby Jungle, mostly being Encores and Cloud Roddy(!!). Also super psyched to finally have completed my G1 Seeker set with the E11 Skywarp and Thundercracker, and gotten Metroplex to stand next to Platinum Trypy :x

Image

Speaking of Trypy, there he is next to my second MP10 (with yellow eyes) and the shiny Adventure Prime.

Image

What a thing to receive in the mail on Dec 24th. Only days earlier I saw news about G2 Supes hitting Wal-Mart.ca and then he was at my doorstep. And folks, he's worth it. I just hope Perfect Effect will make hands/feet in that particular shade of blue!

Image

I got stepper months ago, but Drift is new! I love both of them to bits. And can I say, for such a simple line I can't seem to get enough of RID/Adventure figures. Can I also say, as far as Adventure figures go... screw AmiAmi. Why the hell do they go up for pre-order and out of stock in the blink of an eye?

Image

Cloud Roddy chillin with Legends Mags. Nuff said.

Image

UW Menasor and Superion with PE upgrades can sit proudly next to any 3P combiner. In fact, I plan on selling my Intimidator since he's become redundant. Computron though... not gonna lie, I was sweating a bit. Has/Tak has been knocking these combiners out of the park, easily replacing some of my pricey 3P pieces. I was happy to see that Quantron was safe after getting a glimpse of the sadness that is Scattershot. Its such a fail in comparison to all the phenomenal work up until now. Y'all should actually watch Tformers review, its pretty funny.

Image

So Tracks. I see the negatives people are talking about, but none of them make me dislike toy. He looks pretty great and while not as solid as the Datsun of course, doesn't feel much different than the Lambor mold to me. It's a worth addition in my opinion.

Image

Bluuuueeeestreak. Mother of all Datsuns. I salute you.

Image

And finally, an orgy of fembots. Just sayin, I did manage to get them, don't have room to display them, but don't feel like tossing them in the "will be displayed some day" box

Image

So! That's the gist of my misadventures in toydom. Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanks for the warm welcome back fellas :x

Today the mailman brought me piece number 2 of my TFC Predaking. I really like him, but he has some odd limitations which are minor but there nonetheless. He's missing wrist and thigh swivels. He has literally everything else, but those two things hamper the posability enough to bug me. Bird mode looks good, and he makes a good arm.

I got Razorclaw what... two years ago? This has revitalized my interest and I plan to order the other three this week hopefully.

That's a right fit bird! Impressive wing span.
Did/do you already have a 3P Pred, or am I remembering that wonky upgrade kit you got for your G1 Pred?

Yeah, that was a highly disappointing G1 upgrade kit. This is TFC's Are's, who I bought the torso of forever ago and finally got my ass in gear and decided to take another look. The finished product looka like dis:
(and I already got a replacement for that ugly sword  )

It looks like a Nerf sword for a Transformer, which isn't a bad thing :D I'd probably like it better if it was gold-plated.

Ha! Nerf...

I don't mind it, but he obviously has to suffer comparisons to Feral's sword. Which is nice, but in my opinion way on the opposite end of the spectrum, kinda overcompensation'y. I found a middle ground with CrazyDevy though!
