It's very competitive here. As soon as a local sighting is posted all stock disappears.

Good thing I never post in those threads then!

And funny thing: I scrambled Bruticus today and I far and away prefer him with the land guys as arms and the fliers as legs. He looks and feels so much more impressive :BOT:

Hey man, you should be a good robro and post in your local sightings thread and use the sightings tool on this very TF website.

Cobotron likes that configuration as well. I just broke Bruts down to swap up my display. When I put him back together, I'll have to try it. Brawl looks awesome as an arm.

I suppose I should. At least now I know where that thing is though. I don't really go searching around a lot.

And a question for 3rd partiers or someone who knows someone who knows 3rd party things: How good is the Terminus Hexatron black version knockoff in terms of quality? I see that thing all the time on Ebay for $30 and I have been tempted to jump :BOT:

Hmm I have been trying to decide something. Do you people think it is not too horribly over-priced for me to get a platinum edition Planet Junkion set? Not only do I want some Junkions to go with the other season 3 characters, but also that Rodimus toy in nostalgic to me, since I remember a friend loaning that toy to me a while back when I was like 7. I think it sounds like a good deal but, what do you guys think?

Well value is in the eye of the beholder is my best advice.

You may wanna head over here: 2016-generations-platinum-sets-t105955.php

But you're going get opinions all over the place on this one.

Here's how I view those sets. How much is it? Is it possible if I wait, can I get it on sale? How much would it cost me to get those molds seperately? Is the platty deco cooler/better than the other releases?

There are quite a few of the recent platinum sets that look real good to me, but the prices hurt my feelings a bit.

Hope that helps.

Ok thanks. I have noticed that Platinum sets usually go on really good sales at about December to February the next year. I'll keep it in mind. :D

(I wish I could've gotten that Platinum Cybertron King Starscream when it went on a huge sale a while back. :-( )

I am personally not a fan of the platinum sets since they are very costly, but they are nice and can be awesome to the right person, I'm just not that person.

On a limited budget, I would also say no to them considering they do average about $30 a deluxe, but if you see them on a decent sale, then go for it. I almost got Roadrage, but didn't. I ended up getting the wave 6 limbs though and they are due to come in this week. so win! :BOT:

Haha good for you!

Also the only MP I currently semi-planning to get, is Hot Rodimus to go with the TR Galvatron and other season 3 characters. I really want mostly all of the MPs but I think that's unreasonable.

Nothing is unreasonable. Last May, I bought every IDW comic published, which at regular price would have been $600+ but I found the right channels and got them all for a combined $300. All up to that date. It was an undertaking, but one worth it. Same can be said with masterpieces: once you have the dough, just gotta know where to look. :BOT:

They both look really cool and I would be jelly of you buying those dudes. Someday bro! I was 14 when RotF came out and 16 when DotM came out, and I wanted guys so much, but couldn't get them, but as I went to college, I was able to reclaim some of those guys (the orange Fallen is my big win from that age) so don't fret! your time will come!

Also as a side note: after watching Thew's knockoff beatdown 3 I am very tempted to get a $17 with free shipping small KO Liokaiser. i really am. That is bad, but I am very tempted :BOT:

Are you gonna destroy it for people's entertainment? :-P

So you have no MPs yet eh? I may be getting Ironhide sometime along with Gen Chromia.

Naw man! If I'm gonna purchase that KO Liokaiser I'm gonna keep it! It actually looks cool and I can say I have somewhat of a Liokaiser

And I am still a masterpiece virgin. Haven't taken the leap yet. May with Primal though, but we'll see :BOT:

Well that's one interesting way to put it. So am I for now, though that may and should change soon. I am not wanting too many MPs, but I have been trying to decide what figure to get with Generations Chromia if I get her, and MP Ironhide seems like a perfect candidate.

Ironhide and Chromia together is the pair you need! that would be the best for your desires :D :BOT:

Yay!!! Now the two Masterpieces on my hot list are Ironhide and Hot Rodimus. I really want Shockwave too but that may me unreasonable. :( Even if Ironhide becomes my one and only MP I'd be happy with him. All I need is a voyager sized Hot Rod or Rodimus to go with TR Galvatron! That's really the only reason Hot Rodimus is on my wishlist.

If we get anything from TR it would be a deluxe Rodders considering I doubt highly making him a voyager triple changer, unless they go the Rodimus Prime route, but with the movie homages, I'm feeling the deluxe, which is a shame considering both my Magnus and Megatron are leaders, and I wanted him to scale better with them :BOT:

Megatron doesn't scale with Magnus well. Magnus seems to scale more with CW Cyclonus, Gen Springer, and TR Galvatron. If they come out with a TR Rodimus Prime voyager, I'd be so happy, but until then, MP Hot Rod looks like the way to go. I want my season 3 Autobots to have a leader who's not a deluxe.

Edit: CW Leader Megs seems to be made mostly to scale with the Leader Seekers and CW Devastator. TR Soundwav would go with them too. Like many people are saying, they're like budget cut Masterpieces.

I was more shooting for a MTMTE scale (where Megs is still a bit too big but still works) but even then a voyager works much better. :BOT:

I saw something about that, but I wouldn't put anything towards it until we get some more concrete stuff. I have only ever heard that once :BOT:
