"Barn find" Power Charge Bumblebee

My dear Radicons. It's been a while since I've posted my last thread here. Therefore I am happy to give you my latest creation - Power Charge Bumblebee! First of all, please have a look at this short video that features most of the details you can find on this figure.

My custom was inspired by those old cars, that spend decades in somebody's barn and one day are discovered in a pretty rough shape. After seeing first trailers of Bumblebee, I really wanted to do something like that with this guy. Old VW Bug was a perfect candidate to be aged and damaged a bit, especially in the context of movie. Cinematic version of Bumblebee Was mostly dusty but not too damaged, however I have decided to go all the way with this project and this is what I came up with.

Car Mode
I have started my work on this custom by giving a lot of rust, scratches and discolorations to all of the body. For the same reason I used heavy drybruhing to have this rough metal feel on the spots that would be chromed in a brand new car. I have also added come dirt on the windows and a lot of washes. Overall now I think it perfectly embodies how I wanted this guy to feel. I believe that now it has a lot more character compared to stock, yellow plastic.

To add a final touch to my figure, I have made a custom "road" base. It is made of a real rock so it looks very convincing in its role.
Of course the figure kept all of its gimmicks, so it still has a lot of sounds and lights available when playing with.

Robot Mode

Robot mode of my Power Charge Bumblebee stays true to the vehicle shell. For this reason you will find a lot of rust, scratches and dust scattered all over the figure. I also added my signature "a lot of painted details" style and I think it really helped this figure to shine. There is no part left stock on this guy. Everything is painted, including insides of the roof and doors. Of course functionality of hidden blade was also kept intact.

I've been thinking about making such custom for a long time already. I wanted to do something big and very old looking and I am glad that newest film gave me a very nice opportunity to create such "damaged" version of Bumblebee. I hope you like it as well. If so, please feel free to comment and ask questions.

Good work.

With the knife, he looks like 'backstreet mugger Bumblebee': he wants your wallet, gold chains and smartphone.
