Remembering the posters of yesterday

So, I'm feeling a bit melancholy and nostalgic tonight, and have been flipping around in old posts, and it got me missing some of the good old times with good old posters. I'm gonna list some names. Most of you won't know or remember them, but some of you old farts like me will. These are some posters from years past that I miss, in no particular order:

Chosen
Ground Zero
Negare
Supreme Convoy
Tammuz
Halo
Shadowman (never thought I'd miss this kid, but I do)
Happy Locust
Maximus Prime
Lord Galvatron
Milanion
Leonardo
Sayia Maximal
Neko
Blastback
Redstreak

And some names that, while not remembered the most fondly, they sure are remembered:

Terrorscream
Dr. Spengler
Morph
Alvin Prime
Raymond T (not bad necessarily, but this dude would go on massive rants about laser cores anytime somebody mentioned sparks.)

Some chick with kitty in her name? She always went on about her Asperger's.

Fangry

And so many others, lost to the sands of memory. I joined this site 16 years ago, last month. What a ride its been.

I raise a beer to those of you no longer with us, and to those of you still here? Get a life. Nerds. :-P

Muthaf**kin' Blast Cannon, and his 136 singing testicles. ;)^

Also, Bombshell, sometimes known as Darth Bombshell. The only Canuck I got along with. (I kid, I kid.)

There's also Name_Violation, Samus Aran (also went by Arcee), and BloodRed.

I'm sure there are more, but it's late, I'm tired, and I don't remember well anyway. Sucks getting old.

Also good names! Some more I've thought of:

Ogoldwings
Bumble Jumper
King Mob
Whisper
Hotrod

That chick I couldn't remember the name of? Kitty Rose. She had some shenanigans.

And not just names, but things that went down, good times and bad. Board crashes. The Don Murphy wars. The fallout of STFU...

Hell, I was even part of a group of assholes trying to run our own views on the boards. We called ourselves the mod squad. We had little avatar badges. We thought we were making things better, but in reality, we were just trying to prevent the inevitable change that came with the first movie. We were the problem. Still, some good times.

Whisper pops into the HMW forums now and then. These days I just insult him on Facebook.

It's been a while. I was managing a store from summer thru fall as a seasonal gig. I work a more regular job now but it's pretty tiring. I don't get as much quiet time to read or use the internet as I would like as my GF moved in and living in the same room with someone usually means you spend more time with them. (I still don't understand how most people can watch shows for like hours?? I gotta be doing something or I get bored. Gimmie something to read or interact with!)

Autobot Jazz, Howler, Delta Star, Richochet, Armada Prime, and plenty of others I’m sure I’ve forgotten. Honestly anyone who posted in the old building threads. They were a blast

I'm not dead. Family man now.. wife and daughter. When I joined this site I was posting from a bedroom in my parent's house; sleeping in a bunk bed and sporting a bowl cut.

Christ, time flies by. >:oP

I like how you don't actually say what's changed other than the bunk bed is probably now a little more cozier.

They are... they've both lived a life of regret. My two year old doesn't understand the concept of regret, but I'm fairly certain I can see it in her eyes when she looks at me.

And Burn.. how do you think my daughter was made? That bunk bed saw some action.

That shot of nostalgia was alright. Sometimes we're young and dumb and we learn from it and grow. I even sometimes wonder how the TTT crew turned out and what they're up to now. *checks TTT* Oh, site is gone now I see. Well hope Solidus, LG, MP, and even Operation Ravage are doing alright.

Anyways, back to Facebook before more ghosts like Blast Cannon come back, lol.

That's a shame. He drove me insane at times, but overall he was alright.

Seems like a good place to ask. I used to regularly see posts from a user with a signature similar to this:

Image

Now this person posts an exact copy of that image, with (c)2020 in it. I think credit should be where credit is due, and I was looking for a post by this user to point them to the fact that this was not their idea, but I can't find it anymore...
