The order, if passed on December 14th during the FCC’s open hearing, would effectively abdicate the commission’s authority to regulate ISPs under Title II of the Communications Act, significantly curtailing oversight of broadband access.

Say goodbye to the internet as we know it if this passes.

I hope it doesn't pass, we in Canada wont be effected right away since Trudeau wants to keep Net Neutrality here in Canada, however depending on the outcome and how much money internet company's make, Canada may change their mind and other country's like in the EU may decide to go the USA rout. I really hope it works out for you guys and Net-N. stays.

Okay, so. That happened.

I don't want to fight about politics, but please tell me it isn't just my generation (I'm a millennial, unfortunately) that is really worried about this?

I feel kinda numb from the whole thing.

Really a lot of that fear is being generated by the media (TV and social), who you cannot trust. The best thing to do is step back and let things play out first rather than get all huffy and let emotions do the driving.

They still need to defend the proposal in court before it ends up on trump's desk.

Yeah, its just your generation. Sorry kid, but as was said before, don't listen and buy into the manufactured media hysteria.

I'm happy. Any time government overreach dies, it's a good day. There was never a need for net neutrality. It was a "solution" to a problem that never existed. Feel good legislation, if you will. The Internet was just fine before 2015, and it will be just fine now.

The media is the devil plain and simple.
