So since (as far as i know) there is no political related thing on Seibertron, and since it's not against the rules, I've put one 'ere.
(NOTE: Please don't argue or fight, please respect all opinions and views)

Hmm... I thought there was something about no politics in the rules, because it never ends well. Never. Ever. Maybe I need to brush up on the rule book a bit...

There's NEVER been a thing in the rules about it. Such things 100% of the time have ended up in flame wars due to differing opinions being rammed repeatedly down everyone's throats.

But I really would like to see such a thing work. So by all means, go for it, but for **** sake people, keep it respectful.

For real though, I don't post political stuff because people always get heated.

I never understood why people always get so mad about politics. If you come at it from a 100% objective point of view, there's no room for emotions.

It's the exact same reason you have been so passionate about defending the live action movies.

You have your beliefs, and you've argued until you're blue in the face defending them. It's no different to political beliefs, or ANY belief. If you feel strongly about it, you will defend it.

I'm curious, so this is to our British/European members: Brexit. Yay or nay? Why?

I feel strongly about plenty of political things. But why does politics always have to automatically mean people will start fighting? There can't be a normal conversation about it without people getting emotional and upset?

It depends on how strong a persons belief is, how the discussion starts, and how respectful all the parties are of the differing opinions.

In all seriousness, I don't think there is a definite answer. I guess political beliefs are more powerful than say, the belief of one plastic toy being better than another. We're talking toys compared to something that can change your town, your state, your country, or even the world.

Yay, because the EU is seen as "making a United States of Europe".

One for the Americans.

Do you still feel America is the "land of the free"?

Of course not. There are so many laws and regulations that any time someone utters that phrase (or I read it) I can't help but scoff. In the US we are allowed to say and do what we want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone's tender sensibilities or "offend" some SJW who doesn't even have anything to do with the subject being discussed. People just like to insinuate themselves into other's lives for the sake of entertainment.

Not from the UK, but Brexit, Yay, for the same reason as a couple posts up.
I wish we could have a Nexit, but our current PM would never have the guts to hold one about that, certainly not after he weaseled his way out of the Ukraine-referendum.

In the UK, and the EU, terror attacks happen a lot.
We never do ANYTHING about it for fear of being "islamophobic" or "racist".
We just sing Oasis, and get over it. :BANG_HEAD:

Unlike others, I am looking back in anger!

Also, why does why people hate Trump?
He's a great president, who really cares about the US, and other countries, and yet the looney left complained.

And also how come charlotteville was claimed by the media to be the fault of the right wing, when the left was also to blame.

Oh yeah, and the SJWs ruined Doctor Who (yay)

I wouldn't say he is a great President. He has been making some mistakes. He was elected not because he's so great but because people here are sick of the same old thing, which was what Hillary Clinton represented. People were also tired of the injustices and rampant lawlessness under Obama. Trump, for all his shortcomings, was a symbol for change. So far, he's living up to it, even if a lot of people don't like it. But like you said, the liberals will always find something to bitch about.

And also how come charlotteville was claimed by the media to be the fault of the right wing, when the left was also to blame.
Because the white supremacists started it. They protested the alterations of history to make the liberals feel better about themselves, thus tramping on the heritage of some people. Whether they liberals like it or not, the American Civil War happened. Period. Refusing to acknowledge its participants just because they fought on the side whose principles some disagree with is not the answer to making those feel better. Also, I find it curious that the media refuses to mention that the violence didn't begin until the counter protesters showed up.

As I am a UK citizen, I'm not really a expert on UK politics, but as I can see, Donald Trump is doing a good job. Why am I saying this?
Because he is not afraid to tell his opinion to ANYONE.
That's really important to people, as under Obama, the media was very pro Democrat, except for Fox News. (duh :D )

with the last statement - I agree.

It's the narrative the media keeps pushing. As far as I'm concerned, Trump is the best President the US has ever had. He keeps it real and puts facts over feelings, and that's why people hate him. People have become so subjective and governed by emotions after Obama's rule, it's about time someone stepped in and tore down that whole agenda of catering to everyone's feelings.

You notice how quickly they dropped the whole "collusion with Russia" narrative as soon as the **** in Charlottesville started? The media doesn't care about truth or consistency. As long as they have something to bitch about in regards to Trump, they're content.
