Venom 2 or Top Gun 2 will probably take that title for me.

I don't know about going to a theater, but as soon as it's available for streaming, I'm there.

I say this as someone who absolutely adores the original movie, cheese and all (the second one can burn in a ditch) but my word

That looks to be a great movie! So glad they didn't go with that idea they pitched with that short a while back, it's just not Mortal Kombat without the fantastical elements.

So today I went to see Godzilla vs. Kong.

it was fun! Definitely the best of the new Godzilla movies, and a fluid sequel to the last one. The story was alright, a bit thin. But this movie shouldn't be seen for the story, not mainly anyway. This movie should be seen for the action. In the 2 hour run time, there are 3 fights. The 1st 2 are between the title characters, Godzilla winning the 1st round because it's in the water. But it takes literally everything the humans have to throw at him to save Kong. Then the story goes into exposition mode for a while, and afterwards Kong and Zilla meet again, this time in Hong Kong, and since it's on land, Kong fares much better. But in the end, he still loses. However, Godzilla spares him, choosing to let him live in defeat. The last fight happens right after, and it's between Godzilla and Mechagodzilla. Being exhausted from the Kong fight, Zilla gets thoroughly trashed, along with the entire city of Hong Kong. But right before Mechagodzilla can finish him, Kong recovers to come to his aid. I won't give details, unless you want them, but the end fight is short but sweet. Kong and Godzilla tear Mechagodzilla apart, and at the end Godzilla even gets a hero's walk as he slowly walks away from Kong and a destroyed city behind him. Kong returns to his home and all seems to be well. I didn't stay to see if there were end credits, so we might get more.

Watching the movie, the special effects were flawless. Whenever Kong and Zilla were on screen, I started thinking I was looking at Beast Megatron and Optimus Primal. It made me think that if this movie could be done, a Beast Wars movie can't be that difficult to pull off.

It was a lot of fun, I definitely recommend it.

I loved the movie. Saw it last week. A beast wars movie needs to be done.

So, I want to go see Godzilla vs. Kong, but I haven't seen King of the Monsters yet. Does that matter?

No. All you need to know is that in the last one Godzilla killed all the others except Kong and Mothra. And the human villain from Monsters returns in this one.

Rewatching Band of Brothers. Man, I honestly don't know if HBO will ever actually top it. So well done.

Watched it yesterday.

It was okay. Nothing great. I'd put it on par with the original.

The Suicide Squad (2021) was great, leagues above the 2016 film. Very graphically violent, so if that's not your thing then this movie isn't for you, but if you don't mind that I highly recommend.

In my opinion you’re better off skipping that and going straight to The Suicide Squad. Black Widow is very okay in my opinion.

I thought Black Widow was a lot of fun, definitely worth 1 watch.

This new Suicide Squad I have no interest in at all. Honestly, the trailers made it look ridiculous. I guess hardcore fans might like it. I'll probably check it out when it hits streaming.

I see Suicide Squad as DC's attempt to make a group Deadpool movie...

The 2016 Suicide Squad is very much DC’s failed attempt at Guardians of the Galaxy

However, The Suicide Squad is very different from any superhero film I’ve seen to date. The only thing it really has in common with Deadpool to me is that it’s rated R and has a lot of language
