So when I saw the first trailer, said "I have the weirdest feeling that I'm going to hate this." Seeing this new trailer, I feel like I need to amend that statement to "I am going to hate this."

So I was bored on Monday and went to see the feature version of "The Killing Joke" in the theater, and damn, was I disappointed. The actual story from the comic was adapted word for word and panel for panel, so i don't have a problem with that in itself. But the prologue involving Barbara as Batgirl? Totally messed up. It was a wasted opportunity. it could have been so much better. I thought at least they would take advantage of the touted R-rating it got, but it was tamer than some PG stuff I have seen. Very disappointing. The sex scene between Batman and Batgirl? Unnecessary and pointless. It would have meant more to the story if Bruce had actually rejected her advances. And I think they could have beefed up the comic story part with some violence and yes, even show Barbara naked in the photos Joker took. It would have had more impact as far as what we felt for Jim Gordon. So overall, this was such a wasted opportunity. I went to see it to see what they would do with something that was pretty much already written for them, but much like the rest of the DC features, it's a total mess. They managed to screw up a perfectly good story. However, there was a 10-minute long interview with Mark Hamill before the movie started where he talked about voicing The Joker and what it entails. That was interesting.

Ok....so....if all the shows(The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Legends Of Tomorrow) do crossover...Flash, Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, Superman(Supergirl), Atom, Firestorm, Captain Cold(Legends Of Tomorrow) almost gets us a Justice League on tv! not since Smallville have they kinda done this.

I wasn't aware Captain Cold was ever a member of the Justice League. Might as well put Lex Luthor and the Joker on the team as well.

Cold and Luthor were members of the most recent (pre-Rebirth) Justice League iteration

IIRC in the comics Lex Luther was a member of Justice League for a while.

Well, that's the last thing I needed to confirm that comics are stupid now. Luthor is in the Justice League, Captain America is a Nazi, Jane Foster is Thor. Done!

In post--Rebirth Action Comics he's trying to become a superhero with a suit of power armor that looks more like Steel's old armor and of course he's still fighting with Superman who doesn't believe that nonsense.

That's because post-Rebirth Superman is pre-New 52 Superman and has no time for Lex Luthors ****. :-P

To be fair, and I know this isn't the place for it but cap's conversion to nazism was orchestrated by the red skull who still powered up by xaviers brain, so he'll return to the cap we know and love soon enough once the red skull is beaten.

Just watched Suicide Squad.....& i thought it was really good
Smith as Deadshot was fantastic, Killer Croc was great but different looking, Cap Boomerang(pinkie) was good, Amanda Waller was great, Harley was great, Katana was great, the new Joker looked really good but different, also loved the scenes with Batman & the Flash(who's one scene went by as quick as a flash), it sorta kinda felt a teency weency bit like Escape From New York/LA(having to rescue Waller)

Yes it's him, the best thing about bats v supes :-)

I am looking forward to this, though Jared leto is the biggest thing putting me off it, I think he's an arrogant douche (to put it mildly) though I'm also wanting to see why there is such a disconnect between critics and the audiences.

Yes, and i'd like to expand on a few things about the movie
the first Enchantress scene with her hand...is creepy...but great, also, the Super Diablo Enchantress's brother fight near the end of the movie just has to be seen! as it's great, oh....and you can also tell that it's Affleck's Batman due to the end(or is it mid?) credits scene! with Waller & Bruce Wayne setting up things for the Justice League

Spoiler free thoughts on Suicide Squad:

I think its an OK movie. Certainly better than anything post-Man of Steel. The action was big and intense and had much more realistic feeling than the previous two films in the franchise (BVS's Batman brutal take-down of Luthor's thugs being the exception). The characters were pretty cut and paste from the comics, as far as I know. The tone of the movie was much more different than I expected. I was thinking a Guardian's feeling of lovable rogues, but that certainly changed within the first 20 minutes, giving way to the fact that most of these characters are well and truly nuts. I'd give it a 7/10 for the effort made to broaden DC's tonal horizons.

Spoiler filled thoughts on Suicide Squad:
I think there could've been a little more pettiness with the characters, like insulting each other more based on their appearances and their gimmicks ("Boomerangs? Really? That's bull****!"). Also I thought that the villains were extremely boring, I mean, its the whole "We're going to destroy your armies and rule this world" thing, waaaaay overdone guys... Harley and Deadshot stole every scene they were in and were the best of the cast in my opinion. Leto's Joker was...actually a bit disappointing. I expected an absolute psycho like Ledger's incarnation, but all I got from him was a nuts meth addict/pimp. I liked the emphasis on the Clown Prince of Crime, but I really wish they had done a more classic approach. The touch with the BTAS Harley outfit was gold though! I was astonished by how well they nailed Harley Quinn's character and I cannot wait for her solo movie.

I saw Suicide Squad yesterday, and I gotta agree with Madeus's spoiler review, for the most part. The only thing I'd like to add is that they made this into pretty much the Harley and Deadshot Show, which in itself isn't bad, because they're very entertaining characters, but everyone else, even Rick Flag, seemed to be just there as background characters. The movie should have been called "Harley, Deadshot, and some other Psychos." Otherwise, it was actually pretty good. Not nearly as good as anything Marvel puts out, but better than Batman v. Superman. It was worth seeing once.

Finally watched Batman vs Superman.

**** the critics and **** the haters, I really liked this movie. Maybe it was because my expectations had been so lowered, or maybe because I watched the exfended edition, but I loved this film. Except Lex, this was a bad character choice for him.

Just watched episode 1 of season 3 of Gotham, aye it was good

dunno who the Grundy/Killer Croc style monster that was hit by a truck near the start of the episode was supposed to be?

there may not be a Batman in this show, but there sure was a Man-Bat in this episode!

i'm confused? how come there are TWO Bruce Wayne's in this?(the other one on the rooftop with long hair who scared Ivy away)

dunno who those other monsters with Fish are but the fully hooded figure looked cool, as well as that leatherclad lady with that weird mask over her mouth

who was the masked figure at the end who was fighting Alfred? he kinda looked a bit like either Green Hornet or Lone Ranger

loved the MISS TESSMACHER!! line delivered in true Gene Hackman style, also the Gotham namedrop(will batman or Bruce ever turn up?)at the end of the ep it looks like a bad guy is being turned into Metallo

oh....will Superman ever get his own series now?
