Meanwhile, went to see Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Very Sam Raimi ala Evil Dead, not Spider-Man. Cumberbatch and Olsen really shine, too. Be forewarned, if you haven't seen Wandavision prior, you probably should. 9/10

Oh, I get that, adaption is very much a tight rope act.

ZeroWolf wrote:I've seen this talked about before and most of it was put down to the differences between comic books and movies. Put simply, most movie goers expect a more...solid resolution to a movie, and having the bad guys get away every time (or escape from prison every single time) wouldn't go down well with the non-comic fans.

This is a big one. We're at a point where a lot of people won't get behind the idea of heroes not killing. I remember when Betty yelled for the Hulk to stop strangling Abomination one of my friends let out a "What!?" Some of it is cynicism, or a demand that things be more "adult".

plus now the mcu has largely conditioned audiances to expect the heroes to put down the villains.

I finished Moon Knight and saw Multiverse of Madness.

I knew nothing of Moon Knight going in, but I had a lot of fun with it. Oscar Isaac is a treasure we need to protect, and Layla ended up being really fun too. It was just good fun.

Multiverse of Madness was awesome. It was utterly weird, but really good. I loved it. the part that will forever remain with me was Dr Strange possessing Defender Strange's corpse and absorbing the souls of the damned and using them as an evil dark cloak with all those arms. It was AWESOME

That scene might have made my Top 5 MCU moments across the whole saga. It was that good and that cool

Not going to happen, first it was cancelled because Disney+ has taken over all Marvel TV business. Second Disney+ is now the sole streaming home of anything stamped with the Marvel name, and they are quite picky as to what is produced (Marvel television production is no more now controlled by marvel studios).

Moon Knight is best Disney+ Marvel series.

AS for Doctor Strange 2,I need watch it again to judge the film on it's own merit.
Pre movie news and rumors pointed out that it would have a bunch of returning actors from previous movies would return, but in the end it wasn't that.

Don't ever believe all the rumors as they said that Ryan Reynolds and Michael Fassbender would have cameos as Deadpool and magneto and they didn't
Returning actors: and all non main MCU universe variants
Hayley Atwell (Agent/Capt. carter)
Patrick Stewart (Fox X-Men universe)
Anson mount (black Bolt from the Inhumans TV show)
Lashana Lynch (Monica Rambeau from Captain Marvel now the Illuminati universe's capt Marvel)
Rachel McAdams (played Christine Palmer in the 1st Dr. Strange)
Billy and Tommy were played by the same actors from Wandavision

So yes some of the rumors were indeed true.

I know there was a rumor about Tom Cruise playing a variant of Tony "Superior Iron Man" but that was just a rumor started by fanboys who swore up and down that the screen-capped images of Capt Marvel were actually of Cruise as Iron Man..

So is anyone [watching] actually enjoying She-Hulk?

I'm finding it more of a slog with each subsequent episode. The last one (Episode 6) for example. The B plot, that didn't involve She-Hulk, was considerably more enjoyable than the A Plot that did involve her.

Hollywood should get Christine Nguyen and Lecy Goranson on the phone. Christine can Psywhip and Lecy can steal Captain Marvel's powers.
