1 - Get a non-Apple based computer.
or
2 - Use a photo hosting site like Photobucket and just transplant the images. It saves the Seibertron.com servers. Oh and it's also a good idea to use thumbnails because not everyone has super fast connections (which is another reason sizes shouldn't be increased)

I made a Photobucket account. Thanks!

Horrible advice.

So, can something be done about those ridiculously long sigs? They're frustrating.

User Control Panel - Board Preferences - Edit display options - Set Display signatures to No - Submit
It'll do until Ryan decides to either change the sig guidelines or the code to limit sigs. However the guidelines and the code have already been updated within the last year to limit oversized images in sigs.

Another tip is to get a scroll wheel mouse, then scroll like crazy while make "WHEEEEEEEEEE" sounds.

Re-organize the toy galleries A.K.A. get rid of categorization and list everything solely by line! I'm not trying to be picky here, the gallery system is severely cluttered and needs better definitions for what figure is listed where. For instance, despite having appeared in G1 based fiction TWICE, RTS Lugnut is listed in the movie category. When I asked why I got this:
JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Because Reveal the Shield had both G1 and Movie style toys. That's why a split has been made, since the galleries are organised by general universe first. Despite Lugnut appearing in a G1-Universe comic he has certain movie stylings, which lead him to being lumped accordingly.

Sounds like a bulls*** system to me. Further adding to my argument:
Shadowstream wrote:
JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Given that, we have a standalone Reveal the Shield section in the dropdown menu, which has all of the toys.

And more often than not selecting those sections from the dropdown list sends you to a mixed gallery anyway? I still think this system needs some serious cleaning up. I mean every other website that I know of that takes photo galleries for TF figures lists them by line and nothing else, irregardless of related continuity. Why do all of Seibertron's galleries have to be mish-mashed together when no other website I've seen does it that way? Also if it's from Japan I want to find it in it's respective Japanese line, not in a mix of both American and Japanese lines.

Bottom line, I find the current way of organizing things quite cluttered. I would like to see this rectified.

Hi Shadowstream,

As much as it's a resource for the general public, these are galleries made by Ryan; all of the toys you see in the galleries are figures that he owns personally, sans a few special ones borrowed from members. The galleries are not meant to be a checklist, they're not supposed to signal to other collectors when they've completed a line, because there are so many different variants and chase figures in the past 27 years of Transformers that no man can possibly own all of them. While the galleries are nearing it's 2.5k mark, I'm sure Ryan still has a couple thousand of different figures trying to make their way into the galleries.

If you don't like the way we categorized one single figure, then I'm sorry, we can't please everyone at this time. It's moments like these and demands on the galleries for this website that make me realize that not many people know exactly how much time, effort, and heart Ryan puts just to put these things online. These photo sessions go for a gruesome 4-6 hours of shooting, and don't even start on the amount of time required to work on the images in photoshop, re-sizing, uploading them up the servers, etc.

We aren't Hasbro, nor are we the Jedi archives. I admit that our categorization could use a tune-up, but at the moment, what you're getting is a close-up of popular figures and figures past. The last thing that I or even Ryan would probably worry about at the moment is changing the system in which we organize the 200,000+ photos on this website. You want a figure? Search for it in the search bar. Can't find it's repaints or remolds? Then research it up at tfu.info. And if you're still stumped on something then there's more than a hundred of knowledgeable Transformers fans in our forums to answer your question.

If you want to get into specifics.. Lugnut? Why, because 2010 Lugnut got his own TFwiki page in the G1 Universe? This toy has movie aesthetic, there's no denying that. I'm not going to argue about that, but I have no idea why there has to be such a hassle in regards to this. It's Ryan's gallery, his belief in the categorization of the toy, and it's a matter of opinion. And knowing him, it's going to stay in the categories it's listed for the time being.

And as much as I respect JelZe GoldRabbit, the member has been 4 years removed from the Seibertron.com staff, and is not well versed as other current staff members in the current events in the Seibertron.com organization. You could have easily suggested this change in Lugnut's listing to us, instead of taking the word of someone else and getting flustered.

If you have any concerns, especially in regards to Seibertron.com's most important asset, then all you need to do is contact ryan@seibertron.com or staff@seibertron.com.

Regards,
Blurrz

Hi robotmel,

I can't put my finger around exactly what you're trying to show us with this screen shot, but if you are truly having problems uploading something with size that doesn't fit within our upload attachment regulations, then open the image up in MS paint. "Save as" a 24-bit bitmap .bmp file which will reduce the quality completely but will atleast show us what you want to. Of course there's always safe, free-hosting sites such as http://photobucket.com/, http://imageshack.us/, and http://tinypic.com/ that may be of service to you. (Photobucket requires you to sign up but it's much better in the long run).

Sincerely,
Blurrz

So you're saying I shouldn't listen to his word on the matter right after telling me he was basically right anyway? Way to cover your asses there...

An link to a YouTube channel that provides episodes from all english series

In segments or full episodes whatever, I just want to see Energon and Cybertron and not pay an outragous price to buy them!

Our stance is that if you can buy it, links to downloading it are prohibited.

Maybe there should be a forum dedicated to games, i.e. the Transformers Question Game, The Name Game, the Wish game, and whatever other games have been created.

I'd support that cos then they would still exist/be playable, but wouldn't clutter up the general discussion page.

There are no games allowed in GD. It would be good if the games that were cut down in GD could be unlocked and moved into the forum.

If you guys make it.

Maybe it would be a good idea to seperate the TF cartoon/comics forum into sub-forums based on the franchise, so they aren't all jumbled together and easier to find.

(I don't know if someone already suggested it.)

How about, where it says our mottos and our weapons along with faction right by our names. It also says what we transform into. Like have a list of whatever that goes with your faction. And if not a list, then let us make out own alt forms. Just throwing it in there. And let us have multiple weapons too.
