I just tracked down one of the last gaps in my Studio Series collection - here’s Lockdown!

It’s actually the Takara version, which is kinda neat! Only difference is the box, but it’s still cool to compare to the regular Studio Series boxes.

Lockdown himself is great! The molded detail is especially good on this guy, and the gunmetal paint looks really nice too. There actually isn’t too much paint work I have to add for alt mode!

I wasn’t too sure if he used both these weapons at the same time in AOE, but I rewatched the final battle again, and he does!

I really wish I had gotten more of his Shadow Raiders, I enjoy that mold, it turned out nice!

Also well done on your Ratchet. The green definitely pops with the NEST colors

I never saw Shadow Raider at retail, but I wish I had! They're real cool looking.

The SS Prime looks good, and I am glad that it appears as if his sword can be hand held or peg in like it is coming out of his arm. That is a nice touch I wish the DotM Prime could do

We saw that the next wave of Studio Series voyagers were ready for distribution and someone got their hands on Rhinox. They made a quick review showing that the shoulders are mistransformed on the box. We also get a look at the Rhino mode from different angles, some less flattering than others.

Looks very nice in both bot and alt mode. But... they took away his ability to open his mouth? The feature that was on every other Rhinox figure? And now also the iconic roaring scene from the trailers?

*edit* NVM, rewatched the vid and there seems to be a tiny hinge for the tiny brown underside of the rhino mouth. So it probably can open. He's just got a tiny mouth now compared to his other counterparts.

I am a bit disappointed most of these voyager beast-formers only have a basic "stand-up and walk" transformation. So much wasted puzzle-potential.

Transmetal Rhinox outclasses this toy in complexity.

It really is. Plus the odd decision to give them zero beast kibble in robot mode means they've all got pretty generic and boring silhouettes.
