I would like it if they were made too, but let’s just say that if the do get a new plastic appearance, they’re going into my new signature. :twisted:

I hope they branch out into toyline-only movie figures at some point. Voyager Breakaway would be awesome.

Never say never, but I think it's very unlikely, considering how some fans perceive their characters. I think in the end it will come down to Hasbro weighing a potential backlash against the possible profits. If anything, they might be some kind of online exclusive. Or, they might get released in a set as smaller than deluxe figures, like the bikes. Then they might scale perfect with Devy. ;)^ And yeah, why haven't we gotten AoE Galvatron yet?

Because he's an untransformable joke of a design that would require the toy either be an extreme shellformer or have a lot of delicate fiddly inversion joints that would be tough to cram into a Voyager.
WANT:
* Cybertron Galvatron key, missiles
* Omega Lock
* Primus Cyber Key, coattail panel
* Powerlinx Comettor
* Cyb Jetfire R gun and missile
* RiD Galvy dragon head, beast arms
* DotM Ironhide windshield, R hood assy.
* ROTF Jetfire R JTFR panel

That's what the current AoE figure is. Obviously the on-screen transformation can't be duplicated by a toy, unless we use Legos. :lol: :lol:

Not if his transformation was re-engineered. And it'll never happen because he wasn't a prominent-enough character, but I would love a leader class version. That truck mode would look beautiful if it was more detailed. Then again, Shockwave got one and Grimlock got one.

That would be one of my reasons for hating AoE, along with the jerkishness of the new cast and the lack of followup on certain things from DotM.

In both their cases it was because of size. Which is the same reason a Leader AoE Galvatron isn't going to happen in Studio Series - unless Hasbro gave up and had a separate truck and action figure, it would be too big.

And what do you mean by "if his transformation was re-engineered"? There isn't a transformation to re-engineer! There is absolutely nothing of the truck mode about his robot mode, and there aren't even any convenient panels to turn into parts of the vehicle mode... You'd have to essentially make his limbs and torso turn inside-out, which would be tricky at best even at Leader size.

This pulls it off pretty well, but Hasbro could never put something like this out at retail.

Oh, they might have been able to do it as a Leader Class if the ROTF-HFTD level of engineering was being employed. And they could certainly put it out as an MPM.

But definitely not as a Studio Series figure, especially since he would be relegated to Voyager size.

Didn't Evasion Mode Prime basically turn himself inside out with the robot mode details being inside the truck cab in vehicle mode, and the cab details tucking into the robot mode torso? A potential Galvatron might be able to tap into that and maybe Siege Prime's legs to try and hide the wheels

Except that Evasion Mode Prime still had truck bits in robot mod (And his disguise in altmode is not exactly the greatest). Evasion Mode Prime doesn't go from "Sleek modern cab-over" to "Robot that looks a lot like Megatron's first-movie robot mode and doesn't turn into anything earthly". The simple torso parts inverting of Evasion Optimus wouldn't be enough. All of Galvatron's limbs would have to turn themselves inside-out as well, and in complex ways that frankly I think are beyond Studio Series' average engineering level. Especially in a Voyager, which is what Galvatron would be because of the focus on robot mode scale.

I would love to see Galvatron, honestly. Hopefully he gets the same plastic magic that made Stinger into one of my absolute favourite modern car Deluxes- he too had a nonsense transformation, but the conversion process for the SS figure is amazing.

Regarding Cliffjumper, the more I see him the more I don't like him. He's packing most of his alt mode as a backpack, his chest is a faux-part (which always bugs me, I'd much rather have slightly inaccurate proportions if it meant the robot mode vehicle parts actually formed those parts of the vehicle) and his shins are seemingly just facades. A pity, really.

Blitzwing, having seen a digibash into Starscream courtesy of some extra blue and basically nothing else, will be mine. Yes the jet mode is absolutely nothing like his proper Phantom mode, which does suck, but if he's destined to be a Starscream it doesn't really matter. Now I just need an SS Skywarp...

He was too tall for Megs, but scales perfectly with Sentinel, IMO.

And yeah, why haven't we gotten The Fallen yet? He was the main villain in RoTF.

I wonder if there's some kind of guidelines Hasbro is going by as far as releasing the same amount of characters from each movie, and all the RoTF slots are being taken up by the Devastator components in the last 2 and next 2 waves?

Those two scale with him as good as can get. DOTM Leader Ironhide also scales with him. Battle Blade Bumblebee and ROTF Sideswipe and Jolt do as well.

It would be nice to see The Fallen. They could easily redeco the HFTD retool (with staff and removeable face) into screen-accurate colors, even if they wound up having to sell it at a higher price point than it originally had. From what I've seen, that mold scales well with Studio Series.

DoTM Ironhide is too big for proper scale with the Primes, he should have been the same size as the cab for Ultimate Prime. Larger than a voyager, smaller than a leader. But the movie figures don't have an in-between size, except maybe Battle Blades. In RoTF Megatron was also bigger than Prime, those leaders aren't to accurate scale either.

There is a definitive scale for the robot modes, just like with beast wars, you create all the models in scale with each other which can be easily adapted for creating the scale of the toyline, the only caveat is that the vehicle modes are not likely to ever scale with each other
I am not a G1 fan, please treat my opinions as such.

Well, his vehicle mode is more-or-less in scale (being 1:29 to Optimus' 1:31). He is a bit big next to Optimus in robot mode, moreso than the scale chart would suggest...

But I think there are some shots where he looks similarly big, so... *shrug*

Ahhh, Ultra Class. The lost size. Animated could have also done with it, frankly. But no, it was abandoned after the Universe Onslaught and Silverbolt molds were developed.

Bigger, but not monstrously so. And mainly in terms of bulk rather than height. The Forest Battle shows them to be fairly close hieght-wise (see this still).

Isn't that right after Megs stabbed and shot him in the back? A better view would be at the beginning of the fight when Prime punches him and then Megatron spears him Goldberg-style. :lol: :lol:

Anyway, agree about ironhide, the size difference is small in truck mode. Robot mode, Ultra class would have been perfect. I miss that class. It would definitely solve some scale issues.
