If that was somehow enough to make the Cybertron cartoon a sequel rather than a restart against all empirical evidence in the story, I'm sure that any day now, we'll get an official explanation that it extends beyond the Unicron Trilogy and fixes every inconsistency in Aligned.
As for Girmlock's new persona...is anyone else reminded of that weird pattern Renegades had of making some of the less memorable white guys on the Joe team black, then immediately killing them off, leaving you to wonder if they were really trying to make the Joes more diverse, or someone behind the scenes just wanted to intentionally invoke the "black dude always dies first" trope? Granted, making bit players blander and more forgettable than their ARAH incarnations was the more prevalent pattern, and this Grimlock probably won't get killed off anytime soon, but that's what it makes me think of for some reason.
Maybe it's just that this happens to be the last weekday for the HUB. sigh.
The Unicron Singularity wouldn't extend to Alligned because Alligned is allegedly not part of the same multiverse as everything else, though there's some things that indicate this mighthave changed. But trying to invoke it would just make things more confusing.
Grimlock reminds me too much of Cyborg to remind me of anything else. Why didn't you switch it up a bit, Khary?
The Hub is dead. Long live the Hub. Though it was taken from us too soon, the splendor it brought us will never be forgotten.
