Thanks. The spice racks are an attempt to cram as much figures into the smallest space and still be able to see or grab them.

Photobucket phucketed most of my thread, but what can you do? The first post is the most up to date part of my collection, but a lot has changed since even then. Most of what follows is just irreverent nonsense. I did put a link in one of my first posts to where I stopped using photobucket.

I don't post here nearly as often as I "should". Anyways, got a collection thread up? Me and the boys will swing by, drink beer and wreck your carpet ;)^

Getting close to the end

Postby no-one » Mon Nov 11, 2019 3:48 pm

So I started a Gunpla project almost 3 years ago. Well it's still not finished, but it's real close. I'll drop some links, but they've been photophucketed.

Start - Progress? - More progress - Before the great box up

I got tired of skimming my thread, but I think those are the only posts I've made. I was in my closet and spotted the box and decided to make some more progress this weekend. Come to find out the build was almost finished. All I had left was the backpack, weapons and accessories. If you want specifics: RG (Real Grade) 19 Gundam Astray Red Frame MBF-PO2

Image

So cool, then I really got a good look at the stickers

Image

So many of them are incredibly tiny! :HALUC:

Image

I've stickered up all the accessories and half of the figure itself. I started Saturday morning.

Well now to start on the other half. It's pretty tedious, but not that bad. I'll skip the long winded review, but the figure is insanely articulated with a lot of moving parts. It comes with some cool weapons and has several hands just for the weapons. It currently has the articulated hands attached.

Hit me if you have any questions or if you wanna see some of the accessories in use.

I told myself I have to finish this kit before I can start on my Mega Man Miniplas

I got a few more things, but haven't done much in the picture taking dept.

First up one of the best Mega Man X's in my collection. Truforce Collectibles Designer Series Mega Man X. I've ran him through the paces and everything is amazing. There are little considerations here and there that allow a phenomenal amount of articulation. Pretty basic on accessories (which is how I like it), angry face, Mega Buster arm, two sets of hands, some back boosters, a few blast effects and a sweet stand. He also has some hidden boosters in his legs.

Image
Image
Image

I just haven't taken any pics, but look at him up there looking sexy on my "over desk temp shelf". The figure has some crazy details I really need to share.

Image

Also got the Nendoroid X. Still in the box. Those things are cool little chibi figures. I already have regular Mega Man and Wind Waker Link, they're neat, but not really fun action figures to play with, just too much parts forming and not enough joints. X is much more articulated than their average figure.

Image

Speaking of SD, this dude is fun. Got 'em at Ollie's for $4.

Image

Got this dude of impactfullness too.

Image
Image

And the last pic of I took of Ratchet before he moved to the shelves. I was feeling very red and white it seems.

Image

Yeah, yeah - still haven't finished stickering the damn Gundam yet :BANG_HEAD:

Awesome stuff!

At first I was a little skeptical of that MM's super sexy stylie design. But, the more I look at him, the more I like it.
Just had to tell myself, "Look old man, sometimes change and different are cool".

Glad you're liking that Impacticus. I think either head sculpt is a winner. And that retail one really does look better than those initial renders we saw.

Soundwave Shrine(s) Update

Postby no-one » Thu Dec 05, 2019 2:49 pm

My Soundwave shrine(s) were split into master and servant, but recently the shelves were getting kinda cramped so I did some mixing and matching. Not really sure if I have posted pics yet. I picked up the MP SW coin for cheap some time back and have been looking for a way to display it. I considered some generic coin holder then I thought of something more fitting that made use of a dupe **** mold.

Image
Image

Bam! As a bonus, the colors are very "Soundwave". I like it ;)^

Here are some shots of said shrine(s).

Got my first MPM today and I'm impressed. Pete, repeat; it's very much like the grown-up version of the Studio Series Bee.

Image
Image
Image

Transformation is fiddly and involved and getting all the panels to lock into place can be a bit of a challenge, but once there it's rock solid. Bee has a nice amount of well distributed diecast giving both modes satisfying heft.

Beetle mode has some junk hanging off the bottom, but looks good otherwise, where alt mode has a bit of a backpack. The backpack is well compressed and doesn't really detract and besides I dig door wings (movie accuracy be damned). I also love a good hood chest so the fake one used here is a bit of a sore spot, but they make it up by forwarding the real headlights.

The legs are also very complicated, but are worlds beyond the SS mold. Not much knee bend though, but at least the forward and back hip joints have a very pleasant clicky ratchet. Rounding the Bee's lovely gams are some Siege level ankle tilts.

The arms are nothing special, but the hands shine with varying degrees of finger articulation and rocking wrist movement. The arm cannon mounts in a very clever way, but the real star is the forearm blade. The blade will be a permanent fixture.

Lastly the head sculpt is perfect with a clever way to pop in and he battle visor. Lift the top flap and pull out the forehead. I don't much care for the visor just like the SS figure and it will live in the box along with the arm cannon.

Now I want a MPM Bee Optimus Prime and MPM Soundwave(s). ;)^
