It was the bargain of bargains.

I can respect yur decision to not reveal what you paid, but do keep in mind that you "advertised" this post as the "Most unbelievable find/haul story that could happen to a TF collector."

In a case such as this, you kind of hold back on the payoff.

It's like telling a joke without the punchline!

It's like telling about the size of the fish you caught without giving the actual measurements!

It's like telling us you won the lottery but not telling us how much!

I'd hope in a thread such as this you'd make an exception. Then we'd know just how fantastic a haul it really was!

Great find, nontheless ... especially in that condition.

Yeah. I agree. I want to know how much that bad boy put ya back.

I'd be satisfied if this deal of the century at least had a price cap, like under $500, or under $1000.

That should be vague enough you still keep your jollies.

He encourgaed me to get it! I think regardless of who bought it was the fact that we both got to be part of finding something like that just sitting there like no big deal.

Getter, Can I ask what store you found it at. I know Love Saves the Day and Toy Tokyo are near each other in the Village, but I was unaware of any stores that sell older Transformers stuff.

Not that I'm looking for diaclone's mind you, I just want more places to look for old TF's lol

Either way congrats on a great score.

Didn't realize till today there was a G1 Wheeljack gallery  , but I swear to me that looks better than Wheeljack, even from a side angle:

I don't know, Wheeljack just looks so small and squashed. Must be the lighting or coloring. Maybe it's cause of those huge missle launchers on his shoulders.

... it's not different than the head/paint scheme. How could he be better body wise?

Awesome find! I've been tempted to just get a wheeljack and paint it red and get the repro head and have my own marlboro wheeljack. The real deal is much better though.

To me, finding ANY g1 tfs in a store these days just sounds col. Let alone one of the rarest diaclone figures ever.

It's not different bodywise, but the paint job makes it look taller and slimmer to me. Those big rocket launchers are also absent from the arms, which make the arms look a little longer.

Yeah, congrats on this my friend. Still wish I had saw it first but it's been a great story to tell. I still can't believe we found it for that little. Obviously, they didn't know what they had on their hands. I can't get over how pristine the figure is. If you ever decide to sell it, please let me know. I'd love to share a gallery of this figure with everyone.
