Earth year 2207 A.D. - The planet Cybertron is united under Autobot rule, peace has finally come to the planet and she is once again becoming a thriving civilization. Her “sister” planet Earth has also seen a new Golden Age, as the two planets now share technology and resources. All is well, or so it is thought ...

Kaon, the former Decepticon city and home has turned into a slum, a broken down reminder of an age and a war which divided a planet and its people for millennia. Now the city of dread and disrepair has (unknown to the public) become a home once again to a new group, looking to reclaim what is “rightfully” theirs. New Decepticons born out of deception and darkness, the perfect beginning ...

A small building stands as a “monument” to the once great army of darkness, the building used to crown Megatron, Starscream, and most notably Galvatron as rulers - now it is being used to gather forces for the upcoming “storm.”

A lone figure stands among the shadows, his presence can be felt from miles around, but it is when you hear him talk that makes you want to do anything he asks of you. His name is Scythicon and glory is his favorite subject ...

Scythicon - This is a new age for us, this is a new beginning. The Autobots have tried to shut us out and bring us down for too long, but we will never be silenced! Our fore-fathers did not fight and die for a cause only to become silent slaves to the inferior race. We are warriors! I for one refuse to be subjects to a bunch of servantbots! How is it possible that refrigerators destroyed the once great Decepticon race?!

A lone deep voice from the corner speaks.

Voice 1 - The matrix ... and the humans.

Scythicon’s face turns into a smile.

Scythicon - Ahhh, it seems that someone has an answer, speak again.

A menacing robot stands, towering over Scythicon.

Scythicon - Tiamat, I didn’t even think you had a voice, yet alone a mind to speak.

Tiamat - Scythicon, it would do you well not to annoy me. Need I remind you that I and the rest of the Necromicons are the reason people listen to your words?

Scythicon - They listen because it is true! They listen because ...

Tiamat - Scythicon, you are not strong enough to stand on your own ... I could crush you if I wanted to, but I believe in your cause ... but do not confuse loyalty with inferiority.

The Decepticons sitting around begin to duck for cover, as they believe a fight is going to break out. Tiamat stands unmoving as Scythicon turns away from him.

Scythicon - ... fair enough my old friend, speak freely ... for now.

Tiamat scowls.

Tiamat - The Autobots have been able to destroy all attempts at our superiority because of the Matrix of Leadership, handed down from one leader to the next, ever since the dawn of Primus himself. We Decepticons have nothing that could possibly compete with this. That, and the underestimation of the fleshlings, who could have possibly know that such inferior beings would play such a large role?

Scythicon - Tiamat, sometimes your intelligence surprises me. Both of these points you raise are not only valid, but correct. And I have ways to rectify the mistakes of the past, the Autobots have become lax in the rules and regulations regarding relics of a bygone age. They keep them locked up, but with very little security, they figure that because so much time as passed that we have forgotten about the one gift from our god.

Tiamat - What nonsense do you speak?

Scythicon - It seems that even you forget about Unicron’s gift to Nemesis Prime ...

Tiamat - You can not mean ...

Scythicon/Tiamat - The Dead Matrix!

Gasps can be heard all throughout the room.

Tiamat - But, that is just a legend, no possible object of that power could exist. Yet alone be left unguarded in some Autobot warehouse!

Scythicon - That my friend is exactly why it can be left tossed aside like a pile of scrap, because no one believes in its existence. Why, if it was put on display or guarded under lock and key then the Autobots would have to worry about it being taken and used against them. But ignoring it and making it into a myth, then no one would dare pursue it.

Tiamat - Even if the legends were true, it was destroyed by a black hole.

Scythicon - Destroyed, you can not destroy power, nor can you destroy evil ... the Dead Matrix was only lost to time ... that is until someone found the remains of Unicron.

Another voice is heard, this one slow and strained.

Voice 2 - Im...per...i...ous.

PRESENT DAY - Back to the Decepticon meeting.

Scud - H...e mus...t h...ave ...fo...un...d it ...af...ter .......mi...ni...con.

Scythicon - Yes, yes. Imperious found it after you got drunk on the power of Unicron ... let that be a reminder to you Scud, our god does not find you worthy enough to wield ultimate power.

Scud looks at his “leader” with a look of hate and anger, he is waved off by Foxbat, He respects his commands, even if he is not the most powerful ... he is the most loyal. Scythicon continues with his speech.

Scythicon - Don’t fool yourself Scud, in your present condition, you’re lucky I allow you to follow the cause.

Suddenly a the ground begins to shake and loud noises can be heard.

Foxbat - RAID!

The Decepticons scatter, but Scythicon laughs, walking off. Suddenly Omicron Supreme, Artemis, and Neptune tear the roof off the building.
Omicron Supreme - Still holding the building roof in his hands. Why is it we never find any of these defectors.

Neptune - Maybe they really don’t exist, I it could just be the Councils way of keeping us in line, fear is a powerful motivator.

Artemis - Oh, they exist all right, we just never have the element of surprise on our hands ... if they can’t hear us from a mile a way, they can sure as well see us.

Scene cuts to Scythicon and Foxbat alone in an underground area of Cybertron.

Scythicon - Foxbat, you have been one of my most loyal subjects since the beginning.

Foxbat - Thank you Lord Scythicon, I live only to serve.

Scythicon - Yes, I promised that I would reward those who serve me when the time comes, and Foxbat, that time is now. Are you prepared for the dawning of the new age of Cybertron? A new age where Decepticons will rule again? We have listened to the Autobot scum for too long, we will no longer be refered to as rebels and defectors, no, it will be all those who oppose us who will be rounded up and destroyed! Foxbat, I give you the future!

Scythicon blasts a hole through the wall behind him and revels a hidden chamber, a a chamber with one of Cybertrons forgotten relics - ...

Foxbat - The Space Bridge!

Scythicon - Yes, the legends were true, a portal between Earth and Cybertron by Lord Megatron during the Second “Great” War. With this, the Decepticons were are to funnel men and supplies to Earth, giving the cause the advantage ... for the time. But now, this Space Bridge will give us the advantage once again, when we use it to transport ourselves to Earth ... today! Yes, we will conquer the lesser planet of Earth before the Autobots can even arrive to defend the planet. After that, we will use this same bridge to warp back to the under-guarded Cybertron ... and take it for ourselves! Foxbat, prepare for glory!

Scene cuts to Council of Cybertron HQ, Several older ‘bots and generals of the CAF are sitting around a table (there are about 13 members in the room at this point).

Older Autobot - I have seen many things come and go on this planet, from war and peace, to upgrades and failures, but one thing is certain, we have stood victorious through it all. Quintison, Decepticon, Predicon, even the mighty Unicron have all fallen when come face to face with our kind ... and that is how it shall always be. That being said, we can not slack in our duties to protect this planet, and all other friendly ones as well. We will never forget the sacrifices that needed to be made in order to triumph this far. many have lost their lives and their loved ones, and we must always remember them. Statues of Optimus Prime, The three Beast Wars leaders, Cheetor, Rodimus Prime, Star Saber, Fortress Maximus, Jazz, Ultra Magnus, Dia Atlas, and others form a circle around a statue of Primus, holding out of his chest the actual Matix of Leadership in the center of the room. The gift Primus gave to us, his children, once again has called us here today, for it to elect a new leader, whom may one day line these very walls. Primus, whom is the chosen one?

The room goes dark, except for the glow of the Matrix ...
