The Seravee looks really nice. I have an HG 1/144 Virtue on the way and one day I'd like to get the Seravee too.

The picture of the Crossbone Gundam X-1 looks like the Robot Damashii action figure, which is roughly 1/144 scale. You can see more pictures of it here.

There are two MG 1/100 models of the Crossbone Gundam that I know of. The first is the Crossbone Gundam X-1 Ver. Ka and the Crossbone Gundam Full Cloth.

One thing to be aware of is that the X-1 is one of the shorter Gundams, being a Mobile Suit that is approximately 15.9 meters tall. The F91 is shorter by .7 meters and the original RX-78-2 is 18.5 meters tall. So if you were to compare the MG kits of the F91, X-1, and RX-78-2, the order I've listed them in will be how tall they look beside each other from shortest to tallest.

The MG Version 2 standard version as the space version was sold out, I'm planning on getting all versions of that Version 2 mold and yes I know that there are a lot of them.
I'm also eying the first Gundam (RX 78-2?) MG version 2 and the Gundam version II Titans MG version 2.
And maybe the FAZZ MG.

Very nice, DM! The version 2.0 models seem pretty darn great to me. I'd like to get the standard ZakuII Ver 2.0 at some point. I ordered the RX-78-2 version 2.0 and hopefully it'll arrive this week. I watched an extensive 4 part review on Youtube on the model. Here are the links if you're interested:

MG RX-78-2 Ver 2.0 review part 1

MG RX-78-2 Ver 2.0 review part 2

MG RX-78-2 Ver 2.0 review part 3

MG RX-78-2 Ver 2.0 review part 4

The same reviewer also just uploaded a 2 part review for the MG Hi-Nu Gundam...good lord, it looks great! I think it may very well be my next MG kit purchase, however far away that may be.

I have the MG Hi-Nu. it is definately worth the money. One of the larger MG's, if not the largest. Comes with what I think is the biggest base stand I have seen in a MG to hold the funnels and Gundam itself.

From what I read about (which may not be 100% right), Macross Frontier sounds more like a darker and more serious version of Macross 7. Because of the legal problems between Tatsunoko and Big West/Studio Nue over who owns what in regards to Macross in Japan (and that's NOT including Harmony Gold and Robotech) and it's a wonder that Macross 7, Macross Zero and Macross Frontier ever got made. Now if they all could work together and officially release Macross Zero, Macross 7, Macross Frontier, and the rest of the various Macross movies and OVA series here in the USA I would be a very happy man.

Back to Gundam: While I think that while some of the various Gundam shows do border on the repetitive side of storytelling it's really no different than The Transformers in that the basic plot are the same.

I used to have all of Gundam Wing, Endless Waltz, and 08th MS Team, and a few others DVDs but I had to sell all them to get money to eat. I think that I MIGHT still have my Gundam Wing action figures that were mail-ins for buying DVDs the only problem is that if I still have them they are buried with and under Transformers and I don't have the space, time, or energy to see if I still got them.

The only Gundam DVD I got now is Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counter Attack (I was wanting to buy Z Gundam vol. 1 but that was all I could find at the store) and I still have the 20th Anniversary VHS copies of the orginal Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy and I have to say the dub (which different voice actors than the ones used in the TV show when CN showed it) is pretty good IMHO Char's sister has one the sexist voice ever in the dub of the VHS versions of the movies.

The PG 00 Raiser looks very cool but I'm a bigger fan of the Exia design. One thing that probably sets me apart from 99% of Gunpla fans...is that I'm not floored by the 00's inner frame. I don't know what it is but I just don't feel the same initial "wow" seeing the 00's inner frame as I do when looking at other PG Gundam inner frames. However, I'll need to see the 00's inner frame in motion(seeing how the components look when articulation is demonstrated) to really make a solid judgment. I'm really looking forward to more news about PG 00 Raiser's range of articulation.

The Second Revise looks very cool. I like how the sword components can be used separately with "beam blade" parts attached.

Image

I wonder how balanced it can be with the Tactical Arms II in full sword mode. I'm thinking not too much better than the other versions of the model since a stand was included with this kit to serve as a stand for the sword itself.

I just noticed the review at the site!

Wow, this is definitely going to be a purchase for me at some point. I love all the details. The Tactical Arms II alone is a nifty figure/accessory unto itself. The articulation seems to be great and the hip joints seem pretty interesting.

Allelujah has the backpacker look down, hehe. I can't wait for the 00 movie. I hope it lives up to the TV series.

MG Blue Frame Second Revise, MG Sinanju, MG Unicorn Gundam, so many to choose from! I'm also thinking of getting the MG Guntank. It looks pretty cool and there seems to be a lot of articulation potential for the tread parts. I hope a version 2.0 MG Guncanon will be made at some point. :)

Haha, even Unicorn is damn sweet too. XD. Changing to Unicorn mode would be slick.

But yeah, Setsuna's Gundam is pretty much a merge of Exia and 00. Lockon's Gundam evolved out of the Sniper feel... just a Dual-wielding Cowboy now! Allelujah's Gundam is supposed to be the 'twin' of Marie's, we'll see how that goes. And Dead Tieria's Gundam is a merge of Virtue and Seravee. Looking good! Can't wait for the movie (and the kits)!

I liked the Kyrios and Arios as well as the Virtue and Seravee the most out of the Gundam Mobile Suits in 00. The Harute and Raphael look very cool in the movie sneak peaks. I wonder if the Raphael will have another component like the Nadlee and Seraphim.

I've been looking at the Turn A Gundam lately and I think it looks neat. I've added the MG kit to my list of models to buy. I've read that a lot of people hate the design but I really like it. It's very non-Gundam but I like how there are many nods to the iconic Gundam attributes but from an unexpected approach like the V Fin moustache. I personally enjoy redesigns that deviate significantly while still homaging the inspiration so maybe that's why I don't detest the Turn A Gundam design.

I must say that I'm very impressed with the HGUC 1/144 Kshatriya. The design is great and after seeing its review at dalong.net, it has become a must buy for me. The size of the model is crazy! It's nearly as tall as some MG models without counting the binders/shoulder components. Seeing the Kshatriya beside the MG Sinanju is pretty cool!

I'm really liking the Unicorn Gundam series so far with respect to the MS designs. I love the Neo Zeon MS designs. I hope a Geara Zulu model kit is coming up in the near future. The RX-0 is pretty darn cool. I love the clean, almost GM-ish look, of the Unicorn mode. The Destroy mode is simply intimidating. The revealed face and V Fin along with the exposed glowing inner frame really gives off a typical anime "power up mode" feel, which I like.

I've recently received the Gundam model kits I ordered and I must say, I'm hooked. I've assembled the HG 0 Gundam and HG Virtue Gundam. Both are great models. Comparing them to my 1996 version of the RX-79(G) really shows me the improvements made in the past decade. The RX-79(G) feels hollow and almost fragile compared to the 0 Gundam and Virtue. The Virtue is especially substantial feeling. It's very weighty and solid. The 0 Gundam is a great design and the range of articulation is wonderful.

Do any of you folks have a preferred method of removing the stubs of plastic from parts? I use a model knife to trim off most of the stub and then use sandpaper to finish but it feels kind of awkward. I guess I just need more practice. :)

So I got my kits today (MG Zaku II Version2 and Action base 1) I've just finished assembling the base and I have to say the quality on it is pretty good, I like how the spree comes off nicely and clean without leaving a lot of plastic rest hanging of the parts.
Can't wait to assemble the Zaku tomorrow.
